Would out claiming them be considered a way to battle this "exploit"?
Would out claiming them be considered a way to battle this "exploit"?
First off I'm going to respond by saying that the death claimer King Tec and 'Super' Kireek here, are both in the same LS that advocates death claiming. Outer Heaven is the name, I suggest avoiding them if you play on Fabul.First off if your gonna preach to the Rules from SE how about you Explain that in those Pictures you were Actually attempting to MPk my Team or how badly you suck because you got out claimed by 1 person to your teams 5 at that side.
either Way I appreciate the fact that you once again state a Known issue as well as post your self up to look like a Advocate of Good when in Turn your Pissing on the GM's Leg as your reporting this but Good luck with you and your Adventures
-Kireek
Secondly I would like to point out that there are no extra mobs present in any of the photos taken, just the yellow ones you 'claimed' through an exploit that is strictly against every SE policy in regards to game play.
Lastly I would like to mention that we did successfully claim the NM several times before you, thus resulting in King Tec using some attack to claim them, and then proceed to die miserably and lay there while the rest of your party meandered down from the Mun-Tuy Cellars to kill the NM you had no right in killing. The only reason he managed to get the NM was because it quite literally spawned on top of him, however he wasn't skilled enough to stay alive, Even though according to other posters, any THM could hold the group for 5 minutes, apparently not. The fact that you are here trying to defend your actions that are just so blatantly against SE policy is just laughable. Maybe if you chose NOT to cheat in the first place, you wouldn't be seeing photos of yourself and fellow LS members up in a thread like this.

"Listen but closely Brothers, for my life's breath is all but spent. There shall come a time far from now when our Chapter itself is dying, even as I am now dying, and our foes shall gather to destroy us. Then my children, I shall listen for your call in whatever realm of death holds me, and come I shall, no matter what the laws of life and death forbid. At the end I will be there. For the final battle. For the Wolftime."
I bet if this particular exploit was a ban-able/suspendable offense, like the one Origamikitsune linked to, people would think twice about arguing against it. This has been brought to their attention in various bug reports, they will get it fixed, possibly when they make changes to claiming.
Hopefully you are correct Reika; however, the fact that it needs to be fixed and likely will be, doesn't make exploiting the claiming issue any more valid. It is still a violation of SE rules and regulations and we need a moderator to at least reply to this thread stating that this type of action is against the rules and that players should not exploit it, similar to the link shared by Origamikitsune, except related to death claiming and not to faction leve abandonment. Also a non cut and paste response would also be appreciated, I know its hard for moderators to reply to every thread, but if they are able to have a conversation in the "let us mark non leve monsters" then I hope they can at least respond to a much greater issue in a more personable way. That way at least SE has an "I told you so" to refer back to when people start to get banned because of breaking the rules, not to mention it will make several other concerned players (including myself) feel much better knowing the issue is known.

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback regarding this concern. We are indeed aware of this behavior/mechanic. Development will be deciding how this will be addressed. As usual, please refer to the Official Final Fantasy XIV Lodestone site http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com/pl/index.html for any updates or adjustments.
