29 times. That's how many times I ran Ifrit (Hard) as my paladin, waiting for a single sword to drop. We wiped once because the off-tank missed an interrupt, but got him on the second try. The sword finally dropped, and the off-tank who messed up beat me on the need roll. THERE IS NO JUSTICE IN THIS GAME.

I did that fight over 60 times to get the staff; it only dropped once out of all of those runs. Thankfully the other WHM already had it. As a side note, that pally weapon dropped like 8 times in a row once, I kid you not. Sorry for your poor luck, I have always disliked total RNG loot systems that have no consitancy at all other than not dropping what you need majority of the time.

When I played WoW, I ran Karazhan for four months trying to get Gorehowl to drop. Eventually, it did drop, and I kept it as a keepsake until I finally quit.

RNGs suck. But it is oh-so satisfying when they pay off for you.

however, ifrit weapon will be obsolete as soon as you get garuda/relic weapon, which may be days or even just hours away

I went 1/2/58 on my sword, so I feel your pain OP.

Let me tell you a story of justice on my third ifrit on WHM though..

At 15%, o/t misses a stun or resist or whatever, and whm and dps eat it, so just me and the MT duo ifrit from 15% to 0. I tried to swiftraise the other whm once but she immediately died and I didn't have the mp to safely try again. After all that, conjurer cane drops :3. I won the roll.
