Getting "Checked" While Crafting

Has anyone else noticed that if other players check them while crafting they experience more fails? I have asked players to check me while I craft to see if there was in increase and I did notice an increase. I have taken everything out of my bazaar but other players will still check you. Is there anyway to fix it so that other's checking you does not effect synthesis?

It's rumor, isn't it? Like the coincidences of getting fail if someone pokes you =P

I don't think the game has any kind of real effect regarding emotes, checking or browsing on the synthesis target is doing.

But if someone casts you a magic while you're crafting, everytime you end a synth you'll give a look at the target, which is pretty awesome =)

Has anyone else noticed that if you craft while singing the theme tune to pokemon, and sitting in water, while facing north east, on a tuesday, with butter spread over your bum, you will HQ every time?

Actually if you close your eyes after you select an action it'll succeed every time! If you don't the synth knows you're looking and will fail on purpose.

Honestly though, almost anything and everything related to crafting is pure speculation aside from what's been officially stated and even some of that is outdated. Moon phases, weather, day, action/color combos, all pure 100% speculation.

Actually moon phases do directly affect crafting and gathering. You get considerably better results during new and full moons, depending on your goals. This is almost a 100% certainty. I don't think crafting direction in this game affects anything though, as in FFXI you could spin 90 degrees and go from all breaks to all HQ's, but not seen any difference at all in 14.

Yoshida has said before something along the lines of, if a game is confusing it isn't fun. I think he's going to clear up a lot of this crap, speculation and superstition alike. Even if you say it's ALMOST 100% certainty, it's not a fact. Also the moon phase in the game doesn't line up with the moon phase widget so it's hard to tell what's what. Either way I've noticed bad luck and good luck in any and every moon phase on various crafts, I've never personally seen conclusive evidence to support or deny moon phases doing anything.
