As a tank, I'm not a douche unless someone else is a douche.

But the problem with 14 as I've noticed personally is that it feels like the tanks have to do all the work. Personally I'm not a big fan of it. I hate having to learn all the tactics, tricks, placement, etc. while most DD's don't. Some do, but most from my experience don't regardless of DF or parties made on the server. I have to pull and dodge aggros. I have get the adds and make sure that if some idiot DD pulls hate on a mob that nobody is attacking I have to work even harder to keep them alive.

This is all while trying to manage positioning and cd's so the healer has an easier time. That being said. I'm not a douche. I feel like there is some god complex, but I also feel its like what I stated. I get a bit annoyed that I have to have better gear than everyone else by far otherwise I'm seen as "gimped". While it's true in every game, in 14 since the gear progression is so abysmal, you're basically forced to follow the progression of AF1 > DL > Relic and AF2. Most DD's on the other hand just get a good weapon and enough HP to survive attacks.

I understand that I'm the tank so I have responsibilities, but I feel that in many instances I'm one of the only ones adequately prepared. You can see it in primal fights very easily. People taking AOE dmg constantly. For a tank to be a tank, a lot has to be done gear wise and preparation for everything else. That might just be a personal thing, but it's the same feeling that if parties wipe, most blame goes to the tank.
