Its not about being mad at mistakes.
its about being mad that THEY will will place the blame on the tank, instead of on those who messed up.

by taking the pre-emptive you can assign the fault before being the target of everyone elses anger.

As RepBreon said, the problem stems from how much their are harassed for other peoples mistakes.

I've developed low tolerance to people, when I know their actions are going to cause ME to be the one who takes the fall.

So I ask my group not to do X, or plz do Y.
When I see they dont follow this, I ask one more time.

If they are "Trying" I forgive them, but if they blatantly say "Ill do w/e I want L2P" I'm done.

Thats when the DBag comes out.

And every group after that follows int he same steps (Which is literally 90% of groups) tanks tend to develop a short fuse.

People arnt pricks for no reason, something OTHER people do causes it to happen.

And its not just FFXIV, its all MMOs.
(#1 reason stems from the fact ppl think being a DPS means an easy ticket to being lazy)

The same happened to me when they blame me for ''not tanking''

i admit i am new to this Game
but i always thought that Tank attacks First then Rest of the party follow's.
but when the heal just Jumps and runs ahead then i can't really help them out ;_; and ends up with blaming me

I find myself following the same pattern of "I'll give you several chances, but if you're an idiot, I will flip". I think its just important that we don't queue up for the next dungeon without "resetting" our mindset. I think a lot of tanks, may be hitting their tolerance limit, and then queuing up for the next dungeon, not having let themselves cooldown. Some of us, can go from dungeon to dungeon dealing with stupid the "L2P u suck tank" idiots; but others need to be honest with themselves, and responsibly say "maybe I should take a break before the next run".

This goes not only for tanks, but anyone in ANY role. There are people in groups in an Online community that are just dumb, and can effect everybody in the group.

You have power tripping tanks that treat everyone else like crap, you have ignorant healers that think every time a DPS takes damage they did something wrong, and then you have DPS that clearly believe because they are DPS they can just stroll into anything and are super defensive when they find out knowledge is sometimes expected of them.

But the short fuse has memory, so when you are playing on your ________, and you get 3 groups in a row that don't know what's going on, play an ignorant blame game with anything other than a mirror in hand, or just don't listen to your otherwise kind advice like "this will be a really hard fight to heal in Cleric Stance", that 4th group you get? Poor them, because you're HUMAN (American?) and you are now predicting that they are going to do what the last 3 groups did, and you give them less of a chance to be human themselves!

... now to go find this Japanese Utopian community
