Some people are helpful! It was a SMN that helped me with WP, and a DRG that explained the mechanics in AK for me. I did that first run in AF gear with GC weapon and jewelry. I told them upfront it was first time, and it worked out in the end. It got a bit hairy to be sure, but everyone did their job and handled it. I've no issues with takin someone new, as long as they listen and are reasonably competent.

Probably because they are sick and tired of people whining .

For example my last 3 WP runs .. SAME SPOT


GROUP1 -- healer goes ... why did you pull so much if we were doing a speed run why didn't you say ... ME: Thinks DOH! ok ill go slow pack by pack . you can guess how that was .

GROUP2 -- healer goes .. pull back here .. I turn around and group let me hanging to die .

GROUP3 -- healer goes TIP for next time run down there and grab next mob ( this is the complete opposite to group 1 and 2's healers

Then the healer in group 3 whines and whines about how slow we are going . So I take off shield oath to do some xtra dps and pull more . However the dps weren't doing AOE so its hard to kill stuff fast right .


Seriously I don't know what to do group 1 and 2 want A , group 3 wants B , group 4 wants C ,, but I want to do B , but they want C or A .


Did I mention the healer in group 3 started pulling stuff , I mean what a joke if the DPS is doing single target there is no point to pulling the entire dungeon it just makes it infinitely harder to hold agro when 2 dps are on 2 different mobs, healer pulls 2 mobs which I have to get agro off , plus hold agro to the 2 mobs being single targeted and the other mobs using flash when Im low on mp because we are going so fast and I cant regain mana because that would require using a low enminty move etc etc .

Anyways , I could always just load in my warrior which is lvl 50 and hold agro ez mode

I'm the tank, I know the dungeon, I know my limits, and I can generally judge early on what the party limits are.

well on the 3rd group I told the healer feel free to leave and don't let the door hit you on the way out . I guess they came here and posted how tanks are mental blah blah

Tanks get mad because we're blamed for EVERYTHING.

Healer D/Cs midfight? Tank's fault.
DPS can't count? Tank's fault.
DPS stood in fire? Tank's fault.
Healer stands in fire? Tank's fault.
DPS decides to go all leroy jenkins and gets eaten while everyone else is discussing strategy for the boss? Tank's ****ing fault.

Maybe take some responsibility for your own **** ups now and again and we won't be so damn angry all the time.

regardless of whats going on in peoples heads theres is no excuse for acting like a complete tool and insulting strangers over the internet like a tough guy.
some people need help of the psychiatric kind or they are going to have a very painful reality check when they exit moms basement and try to employ the same attitude face to face.
if you have to say something, be constructive.
if you cannot adapt to accommodate a new strategy or assist limp player then perhaps you are not as good as you think you are.

you use the random duty finder, you deal with what you get
if you and all the capslock mouthbreathers who cant handle it want people like yourselves then premake your group and have fun with it.
case point just left one because the "tank" pulled 3 times in a row without explaining the pill to the other two who obviously did not know by what happened on the first pull and all he could do is spam the word noob in caps.

yeah no, I don't call you a noob. I just make a note of your name(I have a book) and if I find myself in another run with you, I leave. this has happened precisely twice. once with a arcanist who I calmly asked no fewer than 7 times to use their DPS pet, and to attack the marked target. the other was a healer who thought they were a dps and we all got wiped out more than once. He was steadfast that CNJ is not a healer, I was later steadfast that I was not putting up with his bull**** a second time.

door swings both ways and i dont think i will be the one who loses out because youre far less geared and leveled than i am.
you know what happens to kids who dont behave? they get their toys taken away
