    Red Outline

I've been seeing this a few times, but can't figure out what it is or what it means. Every now and then I see a red outline around some of my skill icons on my hotbar, what does this mean?

I am not entirely sure could be one of two things that I can think of it's either combo links i.e you use one skill to combo another with additional effect or you are out of range of your target.

There all I can think of and as I don't play on PS3 I could not exactly say as they may mean different things on PS3 compared to PC.

"When a child has an imaginary friend, we call it cute and play along. When an adult has an imaginary friend, we call it schizophrenia and treat him with drugs. When many adults share an imaginary friend, we call it religion and get yelled at when we point out the similarities between points two and three."

If I remember rightly, it's a delay warning to let you know the hotbar cannot be used at that time due to some other process overriding it (usually when an item is being used or you're interacting with an npc or quest target). This usually only lasts for as long as whatever it taking priority over the hotbar is functioning.

I believe it's for when your target is out of range.

Yes, it's for when your target is out of range. It should tell you that on the top of your screen when you try to use the spell/skill/whatever too.

This. you'll also notice a change in color for the cost of the spell/skill if it has one.
