I dont know about that, I feel like it is a dps loss if you interrupt a near completed cast.Don't wait for it, simply keep casting Fire I, if you see the proc, jump to interrupt Fire I and while you are in the air of jump graphic cast Firestarter proc. Jumping interrupts Fire I and you can still cast Fire III while in mid air without it being interrupted. As soon as you hit the ground, spam Fire I again. You've have literally lost no time by doing this.
Waiting is a DPS loss. Reacting to Firestarter by interrupting Fire I to get off Fire III for free is not a DPS loss if done correctly.

You are replacing the almost complete cast with a version more powerful, instantly. So essentially, it is as if it finished, just as a Fire III instead of a Fire I. No time is lost and if you are fast enough, you are getting Firestarter off faster then what it would of taken to complete the cast.
Try it, jump and hit Firestarter proc while in the air, it will cast just as it can be cast while running. Soon as you hit the ground, start spamming Fire I again.
I think a lot of people forget or are not aware that interrupting = resets your GCD allowing you cast it instantly no matter where your cast bar is.

But then after casting your Fire 3, you have a global CD of 2.5 seconds. This is where you will lose DPS. Where as, if you let your fire cast, as you already started casting your spell 2.5 seconds earlier: you do not have to wait 2.5 seconds for the next spell. You are replacing the almost complete cast with a version more powerful, instantly. Horo...Taemak does not have THM leveled. He's a troll. He actually seems to spend more time coming on threads and giving false information than he does playing the game. He also gets his feelings hurt quite easily, then attacks your reading comprehension (or his perception of your lack thereof). Just breathe, stretch, shake, let it out.
