That's so cute, I ran Ifrit over 300 times in 1.0 and never got a bow. Then I traded the weapons in for seals (pre-atomos and they were worth like 3.5k seals each) for the GC 50s because they were better than Ifrit's in 1.0.

Here is a cheap alternative buy the mats for an Aeolian Scimitar have a blacksmith HQ it for you its bascially the same as a Ifrit sword. With all the crafts leveled thats almost 100% hq rate. If thats not good enough run CM 11 times buy coke get a BS to craft you a Mailbreaker.

Feel lucky took me 68 times to get the drop and took 66 times before i ever saw it drop.

9 hours of farming Garuda for blm staff. A second blm joins us, gets her staff off 1st run, leaves >.>

Finally got my staff today, first run of this pt. The other blm in needed it too, so I stayed for a while, about an hour later, his staff drops, instantly leaves, no word lol I stayed so I wasn't "that guy", he ended up becoming "that guy" who gets their stuff and leaves

Took 37 tries before I got sword and the 37th try was actually the first time it ever dropped on a run that I was on. Once you get it, you will appreciate it a whole lot more than if you got it off the first few runs

You have no idea how difficult it is to coordinate a random pug into focus firing nails.

I actually have no problem coordinating random pugs that have no mage LB. I say

I find the best geared single-target-dps, usually just by glancing at HP tbh. Let's pretend that's a Dragoon named Polly Arm.

"Let's call tail nail 12. Polly Arm will LB 12 right away. All other dps will immediately go to 3, and 6, and then LB 9 as soon as it's back up. Don't wait for LB2 because we might not have it in time"

If you have 2 paladins, the MT can take to stunning while to OT helps too, his paltry dps can make the difference. Can do with a warrior mt, if he'll call out when he has stunned, so that the OT knows to get back to ifrit, but that IS more coordination than most pugs can manage.

Took me 80 runs for my monk weapon, at about 40 I had some other monk beat me and that was the only other time I've seen it drop in those 80 runs.

There is a justice, he did the most work, it's only natural that he got the loot lol. Tanking ifrit can be done with eyes closed and hands tied in the back, hitting your head on the keyboard.

Offtank play far more important role than main tank in ifrit fight so with your op logic the offtank deserve the weapon more.If you ask who how i come with that conclusion is simple fact that if offtank screw up high chance you gonna wipe. As main tank you got lil chance to screw up compare to offtank.
