So I was in a group and someone said on their whm they did all VIT for mor HP. Also said it on makes like 20 hp difference to what cure does on a target. What are your thoughts on this?

2.0 is pretty linear in that 'what you see is what you get' with stats. Vitality does not affect cures, if that is what you are asking. It only affects maximum HP... that is why you fill find it on all gear -- because all roles need HP.
In 1.0, Vitality affected Enhancing magic, which affected regen+stoneskin. This is no longer true (enhancing magic as a stat no longer exists) and if anyone thinks that if affects cures, it is probably a remnant of 1.0.
For WHM, I would prefer to have the mind. As you gear up naturally, you will have 'enough' hp... and that is all you need... but the power of your cures (through mind) is what affects your job performance most. Might it be beneficial to use VIT while you are leveling? Maybe. But at 50, I'd go MND all the way. WHM is all about raw cures -- and the higher the numbers on certain fights, the better.
No he said there was only a 20 hp difference in what cure did with no extra mind compared to max mind so he did all VIT for his hp.
It's closer to 40 health with cure 1, but that is 40 health that you would be attempting to make up with gear. Why bother upgrading if you don't care about 30 extra mind? It is the collective mind you have that matters, and 30 is a big deal.
I'm already full mind I was just checking with others to see if there were any other people that have tried this.
The only time I needed to put 30 points into VIT was for Titan where I had full DL and Ifrits wep but only had 3,250HP. As soon as I finished Titan I instantly respec into 30 MND and the bonus VIT from my +1 Relic almost made up for the lost VIT.
So you only need to put stats into VIT if a fight demands you have a high Min HP (Titan, Twintania) otherwise MIND is essential.
Also not forgetting that MND will also increase your damage output via Cleric Stance. While it may not seem important right now, WHM's damage does get used. Even in coil, the highest endgame atm, I use Holy 2-3 times to speed up the 2nd "trash wave" of turn 4.
Once you're properly geared you'll be getting close to 4k HP which is more than enough for everything, with the possible exception of Twintania (which nobody has beaten anyway).
It's all about your skills and playstyle. If you can't stay alive, you don't have a good reaction, have a poor PC, etc. than probably you should take some VIT. 30 VIT is like 400-500 hp , which is always useful. But if you don't die a lot, than obvioulsy you don't need those extra point in your VIT)
I use 20 mind 10 vit. You don't have to put it all into one stat.
