Help with being a Dragoon

I made a Marauder and now I want to be a Dragoon. Does Lancer have to be my main class or can I just get my Marauder to 15 and then start doing lancer quests til 30 and still be a Dragoon?

In order to unlock Dragoon you have to meet the following requirements.
Marauder at lvl15 and Lancer at lvl30.

So whether you choose to level Marauder to 15 first or you choose to level Lancer to 30 then Marauder to 15 is really up to you. Regardless of what you do you will still end up going back to Lancer in order to do the Dragoon quest and become a Dragoon.

There is no such thing as a "main class". The class you start out as only impacts which nation you're a member of, an early main story mission, and the first quest for your class.

Now, that all said, it's important to note that Dragoon is an upgrade to the Lancer class. Which means as you level Dragoon, you're levelling Lancer, and vice versa. So, in playing a dragoon, you'll still be playing as a Lancer... just altered!
