Soooooo you say you enjoy challenge but complain that this game is to challenging and frustrating trying to get 8 players on the same page. To me it sounds like you dont like challenge as much as you think

I hesitantly agree with this. Its fine for a change of pace, I mean, demon wall was awesome the first few tries. But in every. Single. Fight. There is this mechanic, and its just... lazy design imo.
I'm sorry but the difficulty level in this game is perfect, if anything it should be harder... Square shouldn't make "hard mode" content easy just because you're too lazy to find 7 other decent players.
The minute they start nerfing "hard modes" to the point where it becomes so easy that half the party can die without worries? that's when I and many others will uninstall.
I'm sick of games where half the group can tunnel vision/die or afk and the boss will still die...
no thank you.
Guess you never played darksouls or demonsouls, if content didn't one shot you, it would be faceroll easy. learn the fights and get a good group. Hell last 2 weeks I pugged Coil and downed turn 4. Content is to easy.A better way to word my argument is that its not forgiving enough. Almost every difficult fight 1 shots you in some way, or severely damages you. There is no middle ground or wiggle room. Even the hardest games offer some room for error. Bumping the party up to 8 players just makes it worse.
The boss mechanics are simply remember the pattern and dodge AOE's. There is no skill involved. Please tell me where the skill is. Is it in your ability rotations? When to use cooldowns? Dodging AOE attacks, or remembering a pattern? Its not skill its memorization and having every party member on point.
Yes I get it, MMO, rely on other players, but its taken to the extreme here.
Crystal Tower is on it's way to cater to the casual crowd.
Coil is working as intended.
@OP, to be honest the end game needs to actually be harder, and the next wings should be accessible to even smaller set of players than they currently are. SE already have stated they are adding the echo buff to content such as CT and coil once they are no longer to of the line raids (i.e. making it accessible to more people).
People just simply need to realize that their is some content that is out of their reach and they need to wait for it to not be the best and hardest content to get to experience it. If they want to be able to play 100% of the game all the time and avoid the hasles of multiplayer games, then an MMO is not the type of game they should be playing.
try 54 ...or hay before Planes of Power during the Velious era I watched Talidor the red dragon in Skyfire moutains wipe a raid of 90 toons man that hurt 8p.
So for the game to be challenging it has to one shot you. Sounds fun. Also sounds like a F2P game in around 12 months when the newness wears off and players leave in droves. Fights that requires players to watch were they stand or have personal defensives for raid damage is good. Fights that just randomly kill due to enforced latency are terrible gameplay.
so your talking about Titan and none of the rest of the game as Titan is the only fight with latency issues, and even then unless your healers slack you can take a plume or bomb and not die (just cant take them EVERY time). So for the game to be challenging it has to one shot you. Having a requirement that each member of the raid does something at the required time (stuns, silences, move, cooldowns, limit breaks, ect..) or their is a high chance of failing is basically the definitions of end game in an MMO. dont like it, wrong game for you, or just wait till the content is no longer endgame and had the echo added to it so you can complete it.
This wont make it F2P because this is what most true MMO players want, and in 12months their will be plenty of "older" content that has been nerfed down for the rest of the players.
This brings back memories of huge raids in Everquest then later in WoW. Each release has less people in a raid. However, less people in a raid means that you need to do to better. Your shared responsibility becomes greater the less players in a group and the more difficult the content. I recall 40 man raids in WoW where you could carry the last 10 people as long as they did a bit of something. Let's make raiding a 3 man group without the need for a tank or healer. OK go!
