I can't agree less with OP. That's exactly what makes FFXIV endgame engaging. Finally an MMO with proper challenge, that requires people to actually work TOGETHER flawlessly. Is it difficult? Sure sometimes it is, but it is also extremely rewarding when you finally get it done.
Sorry OP, but it seems that endgame is just not for you, it is alright.
I love how people are responding "JOIN A FC, OR USE LINKSHELLS". Do people just read the title and in a blind rage furiously type a reply? I already said over and over I beat turn 1 and 2 with my FC in mumble. Thats why I feel I can give my opinion since I have already done some of the hardest content in the game...
Heres my argument boiled down:
Your either 1 shotted by some boss mechanic and the fight crumbles, or you dodge ALL of the attacks/patterns and win. There should be some middle ground there.

this is partly an issue of party size. in FF11, we had 6 people. the standard for most MMOs, party size is 5. 1 tank, 1 healer, 3 dps. That allows for you to have people to cover CC and stun/silences. but FF14 is using a 4 man party size. That means your DPS have to put out 1.5 times more dps then other MMOs and are more responsible for CC/Stuns/Silences. That means there is more stress involved, people are more liable to make mistakes under stress. people get frustrated. they start blaming people for their mistakes and it all falls apart. The full party has become the raid. the 8 man group. 2 people less then raids in other MMOs. personally I kinda want SE to make a split version of this content when it becomes pointless. easy mode (nerfed version) and hard mode (original version)
Now on a side note. a thought just occurred to me. how much does lightning resist work against the high voltage move?

Diablo 3 does it best. You have 4 difficulties, then you have Monster Power, an adjustable scale in difficulty. The higher it is, the more loot drops.
I think that is the best way to do it. You party up in a dungeon, vote on the difficulty and progress. DF would work too, everyone votes, chats in beginning. Loot and rewards scale in difficulty. Problem solved.
Coils is NOT hard, it's just a gear issues. On paper with tactics laid out they are very basic and easy fights.
We clear 1-4 in 1hour 30mins on a Monday then for rest of week we have nothing to do.
Maybe get better gear or more capable people who know how to do basic shit like passing a rot.
Why should subpar play be rewarded?
I think we should just go up to Wineport click the question mark and it would give us free allagan once a week. This way blind people can get allagan also. Be fair to everyone. Let's call Obama he surely must be willing to help us
