I feel the point of MMO's is a slight challenge with en emphasis of working together and grinding towards a goal, not a teamwork/skill check. I feel the difficulty should never exceed Ifrit HM or Amdapor Keep. That way you could skip the wasted time forming a group and attempting content over and over and just Duty finder it and get right to the fun/grind.
AK and ifrit are complete face roll and require little to no skill or teamwork, this thread is bananas.

If something is too hard for you, get better or play with better players. Video games need incredibly hard content for the best players, otherwise it will be boring, especially MMO's.

The binding coil of bahamut is supposed to be the hardest content in the game. Of course it will require great teamwork to succeed.

To "OP", Please Learn to Play, and don't try to ruin the game for everyone else!!!

They need to make this game harder! there needs to be more of a challenge. if they dumb this game game down any more it will be pathetic.

Anyone who says this game is to hard, is simply crying or they have a major player skill issue!

    PLEASE SE make it HARDER!

A better way to word my argument is that its not forgiving enough. Almost every difficult fight 1 shots you in some way, or severely damages you. There is no middle ground or wiggle room. Even the hardest games offer some room for error. Bumping the party up to 8 players just makes it worse.

The boss mechanics are simply remember the pattern and dodge AOE's. There is no skill involved. Please tell me where the skill is. Is it in your ability rotations? When to use cooldowns? Dodging AOE attacks, or remembering a pattern? Its not skill its memorization and having every party member on point.

Yes I get it, MMO, rely on other players, but its taken to the extreme here.

    REMINDER TO THE HATERS:

I beat COIL 1, 2, and will be doing 3-4 next week. I beat Titan on my first try. I have no issues with learning mechanics, or performing my job. I feel this endgame should be more accessible to players who want to have a challenge but not spend tons of time building a team and rolling a boss for 2 hours until they get it.

Maybe Im just frustrated with the lack of endgame content. Its just Amdapor for farm, Coil. WHatever the case, I still stand by my opinion. And to the haters who jump at the prospect to flaunt their internet gaming skills by saying "L2P, I ez mode everything you just said was too hard", please I could care less and most of you probably are not up to Coil yet and think Ifrit HM is the hardest the game gets...

While I agree most of the stuff is not difficult due to it just being remembering patterns, I would have more fun if I could do more end game things with just 4 people.

Battles these days seem to be about memorizing patterns. Not about improvisation. For example:

You go into battle blind (no research), you see what happens, it's hard you die. You repeat a dozen times. Now you've memorized every move the boss does, you know the exact order they do it in (its always the same), and you can now do the battle in your sleep so long as you can remember the pattern.

The need for skill and ability is gone at this point. An example with Garuda:

You know exactly where she jumps the first time and can even go hide behind a rock before she jumps.
You know exactly where she will jump the second time, and can even go hide behind a rock before she jumps.
You know exactly when she'll use reckoning, and can even start gathering together and casting sacred soil before she even reappears.
You know she has two sisters, and will call two sisters, and when she will call them, and where they will appear.
You know exactly when she will start creating the eye of the storm and can even go there before she's made it.
You know exactly when she'll jump out of the storm and call her sisters and can start healing before she's done it.

The entire exercise is no longer about the battle, not about the strategy, not about reacting to an unpredictable enemy. It is quite the opposite. You know everything she will do before you even start the battle. I dare say, it is so predictable you could automate/script your part in this play. The only 'challenge' left is getting into a party with others who have learned their parts, and all being able to click their buttons correctly. And I do not believe this is where the challenge should be.

Until the boss fights invoke strategy that is not predictable, until they employ moves and skills we would never expect, until such time that victory can only be guaranteed by improvising and skill, and not by watching you-tube or trying 100 times over, will there be any true challenge here.

At least not for this little Elf.

    Asiaine:

Agree completely. The annoying and frustrating part of endgame is the coordination of getting everyone to memorize the fight and perform it perfectly. Once this is done its literally the same everytime. Repeating the run with the same party becomes a time killer, no engagement.

The way bosses are setup they have stages, and during each stage they perform actions the SAME WAY EVERYTIME. Like Asiaine said, unpredictable patterns and moves with some middle ground and SOME room to fail here and there is what we need.

When naive players ask for "MORE HARDER CONTENT", what are you asking for? More AOEs on the ground? More contrived silly boss mechanics? Doesnt matter all you have to do is watch 1 video guide and remember the pattern and you got it. It Feels more like STUDYING FOR A TEST than FIGHTING A BOSS....

If you've cleared the content, you have no place to complain about how hard it is. It's clearly not insurmountable, even for you, thus it doesn't need to be made easier.
