    I haven't really found anything super hard yet , but I have definitely had my share of fails due to mainly lag apparently . For example of the PLD is lagged on Ifrit then missing stuns happens a lot .

    The DEVs need to make content with lag in mind imo. Some people play from aus/nz and they are laggy and basically fail to get out of AOE a lot .

    So I tend to agree and disagree. People can learn to be better but you cant learn to be less lagged .

    No, they need to fix the damn lag issue. Not change the game to make lagging by .5 seconds acceptable. Why is the $%^& they thought it was ok to make a reaction based combat system and skill checks with this sort of server lag set up to way beyond me. Its... its just stupid. I can't understand it.

    Fixing lag would probably require servers to be moved closer or have more of the combat client side which means it can be hacked like most 1st person shooters are.

    I remember EQ we played on dial up modems and lag was not an issue as much as this game is . 500ms ping and game was playable , but this game 120ms and lag seems to be issue . WTF ?

    PS 4 is coming out. There'll be tons of games for you to play in single player mode where you don't have to care about your team mates.

    I prefer this over a walk in a park any day. The rewarding feeling of winning is well deserved. Unlike the grind to 1.3k tomes where you know it's coming but not sure how long.

    I'm more than happy to forgo any and all "ph4t l00tZ" that "true" endgame players earn in exchange for a "story mode" and DF-able instance - I just want to find out what happens and see the sights, I don't care if I'm a top player or if my weapon glows or not. This issue is what still frustrates me no end about FFXI - I *love* the world and the lore and the locations and I want to see it all... but as a casual player I'm not geared and I can't even "cheat" and level up in Abyssea because I haven't done the limit break quests. If FFXI offered a sightseeing mode that just let me wander around and explore all the cool places they've created they'd have me as a subscriber forever more... but that's obviously not the way it's gone and it seems FFXIV is going down a similar (although more modern) route by having roadblock content that you either pass and get to see the good stuff or you fail at and get to stay stuck in the same progression "state" until further notice.

    Hello all. I have not read the thread, but the title is a danger to all gaming. True gamers want challenges. Please don't take that away from us. Thank you!

    EDIT: If a fight requires everyone to execute, that is a good thing. If someone is doing it wrong, teach them. This may require communicating with other human beings. It's okay, don't be afraid. It's healthy.

    From what I've seen other people have already done turn 1 of Bahamut's coil

    and if someone else has already completed said content... then it's not too hard.
