I remember the old days of Vanilla WoW where you needed to get and coordinate 40 people for raids, and this was when there was still challenge in the raids. As a side, you only got 2-4 pieces of loot from each bosses to cover those 40 people week in and week out. But to the topic, 8 people in comparison is a pitiful number, and while the encounters do have little space for error, if you can't find 7 other people that are skilled enough/willing to get better (assuming they are 'not skilled'), and are on a similar schedule to you, than it sucks for you, but that doesn't make the game bad.

If it counts for anything, Crystal Tower is going to be in the Duty Finder; whether that means it'll be easy mode and not require any communication and coordination is a different story though. You can always go to one of the other dozen or so MMOs that are less challenging and require less coordination and communication.

This (and the post you quoted) are incredibly broad generalisations. The 'vocal' 'good/hardcore' players come off as elitist because they put in the time and actually accomplish things (and no doubt do their share of complaining), however the vocal 'bad/casual' players generally whine about how content is too hard, that it should be made easier and more accessible, and that they shouldn't have to improve because they're already amazing as they are and are paying monthly so it shouldn't be a job.

Do you see what I did there? Neither 'side' are perfect and the continual push of stereotypes and labels only make things worse. Once you're labelled a casual or an elitist you generally take on that role, and thanks to the trusty internet, the worst traits are the ones that get shown the most.
