Don't change the game by lowering difficulty!

The MAIN issue with FFXIV endgame is the margin of error; GCD 2.5sec + latency within Duty Finder instances makes for frustrating gameplay instead of exciting. It's not "strategic" because it's more of "did I make it out in time (according to game's refresh rate)?" instead of actually being able to do something. Skills do not go off very well, esp instant skills, or skills off GCD. It's playing with perma-lag + long GCD which prevent you from doing anything (skill/spell speed is a 100% joke, not worth it at all). No skill trees or making more use of materia to customize playstyle/gear (very limited).

Mate, this is the point of an MMORPG. I know it's bad when someone fail, but in that case I prefer to play dark souls for a bit, otherwise the benefit (and not) of playing toghether are exactly those you have mentioned. Changing those will reduce the game difficulty, making it more boring (I'm sure you understand why).Im a gamer who loves a challenge. I dont scoff at hard difficulty in games, but in an MMO such as FFXIV difficult dungeons/bosses present a unique problem.
Eight people doing something correctly together, coordinating together is very time consuming, and just feels frustrating. If one key role dies such as a healer or tank, the fight goes sour. If someone misses a AOE dodge or does not know the fight it becomes a problem. This is the primary concern of the Duty finder in endgame.
Ive done the whole teamwork thing. Im in a FC, ran COIL turn 1 and 2 using mumble/teamspeak, use linkshells for good groups, etc but it just comes off as frustrating. Spending up to an hour trying to get people on to do the content, and then the content you attempt is just riddled with tons of mechanics to all be familiar with. All 8 players mind you to perform perfectly.
Not all content is meant for everyone, if you want something more casual wait for crystal tower. Thats supposed to be easier.

I just read this wonderful piece of work and I have to say I'm almost 100% positive the OP is a troll. Its my only way to keep faith in humanity....

Wiggles is that type of person who wants to log in a game and for logging in, titan dies and drops an ilvl 780 wep that can be used at lvl 1 for all classes, grants a 500000% exp boost, makes him immune to all stuns, sleeps and other enfeeblement effects. He taps forward once and he is then granted 50 billion gil for moving. everything should be ezmode cuz fudge that challanges are to hard.

OP, I understand what you are saying. I have similar scheduling issues, but I always thought that endgame raiding required such teamwork based organization.

As someone who still haven't even beaten Coil 2 yet (best I got was around 20%, then 2 people got hit by laser and we ended up with blowing to rot)I have to say I disagree with OP. Having a lot of fun and, while I admit it's frustrating to lose due to other people failing to do their job, I'd rather have that than being able to just group with anyone and clear everything.
