How bad is your luck with dungeon drops?

Sometimes I get the feeling that the game loves trolling us with drop rates. Rather than drop the gear you want, it always drops the same thing time and time again. So for all of you who try and try to get that one item, be it your Ifrit weapon or simply a piece of the Foestriker's set, and never get it, just how bad is your luck? How many times have your run X dungeon for Y item and have never seen it drop?

For me, I've run Brayflox's Longstop around 15 times and I have never seen the Cavalry Sabatons drop, despite that being the only piece of the set I need. If anything gives me hope, it's that I did see the Battlemage's Robe drop for the first time this morning, so perhaps that means some luck is coming my way.

I've also run Wanderer's Palace over a dozen times, yet never seen the Warlock's Satchel Belt drop. Got the Warlock's Robe on my last run, though, so I guess that was a good consolation prize.

Generally pretty good. As a tank, there's always the benefit that no one else can roll on stuff for my class.

Never saw any actually interesting gear piece.
I love Acolyte's Robe and Batllemage's Robe, but I never had them.
Had to run 50+ times Ifrit to get the Cane.

Not sure about dungeons but for example Ifrit HM took me 31 tries to get the weapon. Some poor folks had to run that much more than me so in a way i consider myself lucky, if you can even say that heh.

I think a lot of it has to do with the role you play too. Benefits of being a Tank or Heal er aside from fast queues/groups is that if something drops for you in a 4 man, there is no competition. In full 8 mans, you can either have no competition or just one other player with his sights on the same loots. Not only do you get to run content at your leisure, if it does drop, you have a damn good chance at nabbing it too.

Healer gear almost never dropped during the lower dungeons or they could be rolled on by anyone so I rarely if ever got loot from lower end dungeons. But suddenly when I hit 50, I got Ifrits Cane on my first Ifrit run and 4 pieces of AK gear in my first AK run. Was insane how much my luck turned around.

If this game is like most MMOs, I'll never see most of my drops.

I never get pants! Acolyte set, no pants. Battlemage set, no pants. Had to buy the Coliseum Loincloth. I did eventually get the pants that drop in AK, but only after I got DL pants.

I had to outlevel my group I run with just to get better gear when I sync down to them because nothing dropped for me as tank. Our healer was our best geared person and 90% of the random chest drops like meds and allagan pieces went to the same person.
