How bad is your luck with dungeon drops?

How does 50+ runs of WP to get my Darklight Kite Shield sound?

Im with the worst of luck here... Many many Ifrit runs (40?), for 2 jobs (War, Drg) and not a single drop yet. Also AK, out of the 30 runs i got 3 Drops where 2 arent even the real right choice (i.e Peltast for Drg instead of Hetairoi), nothing else.

Bad enough that I turned to crafting, and now don't even bother with dungeons because there's so low a chance I'll upgrade anything.

Took me approx. 20 runs of WP (before WP speed runs were a thing) before I even saw the kite shield drop for my PLD. And for the first 5 weeks in Coil, it was nothing but monk and dragoon drops from turns 1 and 2. Drops we couldn't even use because we didn't have a monk or dragoon in our group at the time.

Bad luck, sometimes. I didn't even bother collecting any dungeon gear on my BLM. Either the gear I needed dropped or didn't. And if by chance it did, I lost the rolls to the healers/summoners 90-ish% of the time. And the 45 min-hour long ques weren't cutting it.

I've been called the least lucky member of my FC when it comes to drops, over the past few weeks I've been farming ifrit for a SMN book (I actually have all ifrit weapons now except the WHM staff and the PLD sword)

FORTY NINE TIMES I HAD TO KILL HIM (I actually have been keeping track, 49 kills, 13 fails), and 47 of them were 15 minutes or more apart due to needing to DF him.

we finally got round to making an actual effort to get our relics yesterday, so we fought ifrit (our tank needed 12 myth tomes for his shield+1, so we fought him multiple times)

first time we got the SCH book (which nobody needed (including me, the codex was actually the first thing I got from ifrit, probably a sign that he was going to be teasing me), so we gave it to the WHM).

second time I FINALLY got the summoner book to much cheering over teamspeak (the final time a lance dropped, we gave it to the monk with a DRG alt)

Square REALLY needs to change the loot system for the primal battles, maybe giving us a random drop and/or a token like behemoth or odin, 10 battles and you are guarenteed to get the weapon, but you have a chance of getting it earlier via RNG

and now I have to try garuda T_T

A full day of running Garuda HM and no WHM weapon for me, saw it drop twice and was outrolled both times. My luck on primals for my weapons are pretty bad, but my WHM now has her relic (beat titan with the crappy whispering staff lolz) and I don't need a WHM primal weapon anymore.

I call that pretty bad luck imo.

Since the beginning of the game, never win any loot rolls that I desperately need.
As progressed to HM primals, I got ifrit weapon in second attempt, and garuda weapon in first attempt.
I think both weapons are nice payoffs

I ran the 3 starter dungeons about 40 times total to get the Acolyte's set, and Longstop about 30 times for Battlemage. Meanwhile, I have several complete sets of plate and scale armor from those dungeons collecting dust in my retainer's storage.

Cleared coil 1-4 for 3 weeks and 1-2 the week before that ... only 1 tank drop in a month. But hey our dps and heals are geared 8/

When I went for Ifrit's cane, lance and smn book, got them 1 try. For Garuda bow and smn book again first try, for G lance 6 tries and that's really all I attempted for end game drops really
