This, pretty much. The aspects affected by nameday and guardian need to be more in terms of flavor and have nothing with stats or performance at all.Yeahh! Oblivion did it really well. Unfortunately, it would be "unfair" (couldnt think of a better word) for people who's corresponding guardian doesnt buff a certain class. Granted, it makes for a good risk vs reward deciai on, but in a community like this, i'm afraid we'd be getting alot of "oh. No Rhalgr INT boost? Gimp!"
I do hope they do something interesting with it.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
