    Crossbow and bolts and debuffs?

    Any chance on getting crossbows and bolts added along with debuff arrows/bolts? I know it isn't a big deal but I reeeeally liked this aspect of XI. Plus it would give alchemists something really nice to do aside from...um...well yeah - it'd give alchemists something to do.

    Crossbows would be cool. Though, idk how they'd fit in on ARC or MSK, ARC already has two different weapon types (longbows and shortbows) and MSK will likely be limited to gunpowder based firearms (whether that means one handed pistols or two handed rifles, I don't know).

    Though flaming/poison/whatever arrows for ARC and magic bullets for MSK would be cool.

    They originally had some sort of concept involving a certain type of bolt does this/is effective of this type of mob but now that i look at the ffxiv website they seem to have removed that part lol. website

    What they could do is perhaps rather then create arrows that you replace with your current arrows is add a "enhancement" slot let's say the enhancement are Velocity, Fire and Poison.

    It would effect the following abilities:
    Light Shot:
    Velocity=Increase Crit rate but lowers ACC
    Fire=Deals Fire based damage
    Poison=Chance to Inflict poison but dmg is reduced

    (Below changes combo bonus)
    Leaden Arrow:
    Velocity=Replaces Heavy potency with Reduced recast
    Fire= Replace Heavy potency with chance at Burn effect
    Poision=Replaces Heavy potency with chance to increase poison potency for Light shot

    Rain of Death:
    Velocity=Increases chances of stun
    Fire=Deals extra dmg to targets with burn effect
    Poison=Deals extra dmg to targets with poison effect

    ---------
    The basic idea is that these enhancements would be used on the arrow when you use certain weaponskills. The enhancements would be an expendable item that stacks to 999 but rather then have people be forced to carry a wide variety of arrows they could instead carry enhancements which they can use to change the effects of certain skills based on the situation.

    I'd be happy with just the traditional bloody bolts, poison arrows, etc..

    Gameplay is different from XI so you can't really keep it as traditional unless you don't mind carrying a wide variety of arrows that only work with Light shot lol. Since in XI the arrows only worked with the basic RA and had no effect whatsoever when used with WS. The proposed idea is a way to develop it where you don't have to have it where perhaps there will be 3 different varieties of Poison arrows and rather one item that adds poison effect to the arrow when used with certain WS.

    With that said though perhaps Archers won't be able to do this at all, maybe they'll add in a crossbow class that specializes in carrying a wide variety of bolts to change the effect of their WS. To be honest I just don't understand why you would want it done the traditional way, since the traditional way means it would only work for the Light shot aka the move which grants you TP rather then fleshing it out more and actually adding variables to different weaponskill moves.
