    I don't agree at all with removing coil lock, lets face it, people like to exploit in every way they possibly can, this will make an insane abuse and alot of people already explained why, loots abuse, selling runs, etc...

    Still, I dont belive raids like Coil are meant to be made by "getting help", even less selling runs, it's not about sacking everyone, it's about getting better to finish it by your own, why do you even play the game if your friends are going to do all the work while you "learn"?.

    Some of you speak like this game already have years online, there will be new content, new raids locked out (hope so), and you will have the chance to make and get loot of everyone of them. Alot of people complain about there's nothing else to do, but what do you expect from a game where almost everyone rushed to the end content in less than a month of release?.


    I have mixed feelings about the myth tomes, I don't think your solution is the best, but I belive something needs to be done, maybe different ways of getting gear with same value than AF2/Allagan later on,becuase if this is going to be all about an endless farm of myth, then I don't want to play this game anymore, why not better erase all the content, make you start at level 50 with only AK to be done.

    I belive SE haves plans for 2.1 and later on, yeah its a game online and we get updates, patches, etc...

    Dude why do you need to full DL all your jobs? There is craft equipment too, there is AK drops etc etc... You do it because you want, not because you have to.

    i70 Crafts costs millions, AK isn't even comparable.

    I don't know, but after playing 10 years or EQ, i dont agree with your coil suggestions.

    Instead i would agree 7 days lockout is too long, probably 5 days would be better. But being able to rerun it multiple times a week until your piece drops defeat the purpose of a lockout, totally.

    Perhaps end game is not difficult enough. What made some other MMORPG really fun was the challenge, that it take weeks after weeks to beat a content, trying different strat over and over again.... But then this is not just FF14, but probably to the world of gaming in general.

    I remember when EQ first started, no guild will ever post raid strategy for end game stuff. Every server, everyone strive to come up with ideas to beat stuff, try every single possible strategy. But now, everyone is like, hey someone posted a guide how to do this, lets follow it blindly and win it first time. Which makes the game boring very quickly...

    I am sure as they release new content, and tiers, they will make the current gear more accessible for secondary Jobs. I disagree that you should be able gear 2+ jobs at the same time. I don't feel like they should be setting the game up so you can get the current top tier gear for all jobs at the same time.

    I do agree that the instances should not be locked completely. I think WoW did it right where you can only roll on loot during the first clear of the week. After that you can still assist your guild by running through again, but without a chance at gear unless you had a special token that gives you a rare chance at more gear.

    You can disagree all you like, it doesn't change the fact I can gear up all my jobs at the exact same pacing/speed if I make a new character for each job, instead of using the armory system. THAT is what is completely broken, it makes the armory system completely useless and have no purpose.

    If I'm going to level another job, I'm better off making a new character 100% of the time. 2 new retainers, 200-300k gil from leveling instead of essentially zero, enough quests to ding 50 with min fate grinding, and the ability to enter coil on each character for a chance at loot, as well as 300 tome cap on each character.

    That's a difference of +1 int and +1 det. That results in a less than .1 increase in average damage. The DL body pieces have an appreciably more amount of vitality which actually matters, but AK jewelry is perfectly fine and you don't have to spend the extra tomes to get all the DL jewelry since it's virtually identical to DL.

    I would have to agree with most of the OP's post.

    Don't see a difference in having 8 different alts characters and having the caps/restrictions per Job on one character. Every time you switch to another job it is the same as logging off and logging in as an alt...

    Each Job should have it's own lockout and its own token cap.

    So why give us the job system if it is more beneficial to just make an alt?

    I also like the idea of only being able to roll on the first run through, to be honest, what do I care if someone is going to buy a run. Doesn't effect me in any way. I run with my FC and if people can't handle themselves, they don't usually last that long in an FC... So again, it won't effect me at all.

    I feel like the tome caps/week should be role based. I say pull because there is more than 1 type of healer and more than 1 type of tank and more than 1 type of DPS. You should be able to get 300/300 myth on paladin/war, whm/scr, and drg/mnk/blm/smn/brd all independently.

    They shouldn't be "Tomes of the Monk" as you said, because you could gear out 5 dps at once, I disagree with that.

    Second I feel the lockouts should be role based too. So if my tank is saved to turn 3 I can go do turn 1 on a healer or a dps. This would alleviate a lot of the alt pains and it would be incentive for groups to do the content on the role they started it with. No one is going to want to switch to a healer on Turn 3 if their healer isn't saved to turn 3 already, etc. As it is now their is constant role switching. People with 1 50 get left out of BCB a lot of the time because they can't switch to a role they need for a strategy on turn X.
