Quality of Life: Ingame Audio Settings

Most MMORPGs you can adjust you Sound Settings to swap between if you want sound through lets say a Headset or Speakers. In FFXIV you just have sliders for volume.

How this effects me: I like to use my speakers a good bit but if a FC mate wants to chat on Voice Chat I'd have to completely exit the client and change sound settings on my PC then restart the client.

They already answered this, due to the sound system they use in FFXIV:ARR, you will have to restart the client to change the audio source.

I don't recall exactly what they're using as an audio engine, but it doesnt support or they haven't added in the support for changing audio devices in-game.
