Petition for change to World Transfer restrictions

Oh please, you know it was a relaunch and that they were keeping legacy players separate from new players, unless people wanted that option. It's reasonable to expect that this would mean everyone playing on legacy servers, so you couldn't just mule the majority of your gil and dominate a brand new server.

They should hire you Sherlock!!! If I was as smart as you I guess I would have known what a gd Legacy server even was lol.... At least I'm not the only one who didn't know since Ive read it in many posts... I had to reroll and wasn't sure what Legacy ment, but it sure sounded cool! So yes my airhead move for picking it!!! OH and My Husband's character from 1.0 had been placed on Ridill so idk why I would have even considered picking another, especially since at the time no US servers were open and I didn't wanna be separated from him until transfers came out. All's we know is we quit a few months into 1.0, the game launched again, we got super excited, heard we didn't have to buy it again and he could do beta, and all seemed great! Then we couldn't figure out the ps3 issues from the beta we played ONE day before shutdown. So we ran out and bought another PS3 copy just to play.

And obviously you haven't read all the other threads. If you had you would know that no one's trying to dominate a thing, or ruin anyone's parade. Most of us have said "Take what ever you want from us, just let us move!" But since you are right about us already knowing, I guess that ment we wanted to work so hard just to beg SE to take away nearly all of our financial progress. GENIUS! IT ALL MAKES SINCE NOW. Lmao, no really it does!

Play it however you want, but yeah, most people knew. Your "husband's character from 1.0" and you didn't know what legacy meant? How could you not.

No, what happened is people jumped in, wanted to play (which they had every right to, since they bought the game/earned playtime from 1.0) and created a character on the first server that would let them, but honestly, Legacy are special servers. What else could legacy have meant? It's not a language so it had to mean something special.

No, see, maybe you aren't trying to dominate a market, but there are plenty of people in mmo's who enjoy just that, and enjoy it very much more when they got a headstart on the competition. I have read the other threads, and sympathize a little with folks in the honest position of just rolled on the first server that would let them (that's how a lot of NA's ended up on JP servers). That's why SE said no legacy transfers ahead of time.

I have a level 49 on Ridill with I think a craft leveled and a few subs leveled. I would have loved to plop him right over on the server where all my friends play. Don't assume that because I'm not upset, it doesn't affect me.

Quite a few actually had no choice but to roll on a legacy server, irrelevant of what it meant. And for the record i had absolutely no idea what it meant. I presumed it was either an older server or the first few servers that hosted the game, in which case i expected legacy to be the FIRST allowed off for transfers to non leg since they had been on there long enough and maybe some wanted to get off.
And guess what, the 1.0 players were given the option of a transfer apparently, around June-July. While the 2.0 players like myself didn't have that choice, nor a choice on what server to roll on right at the start and now no choice again to leave a legacy server to join friends on non legacy.
And all this economy mumbo jumbo, has no validity to it as i stated in my previous post regarding FFXI.
So i'm not sure what you're defending here but put yourself in my shoes right from the get go and then tell me, how would you feel?

I would not have to put myself in your shoes because I did a little bit of research/reading and learned that legacy servers wouldnt get a transfer to new servers until at lease 6 months. Everyone complaining are the people who just jumped blindly in with no clue what they were doing. That is your fault now you are trying to blame SE for it. Even if I would not have been able to get into a regular server I would have waited and not joined a legacy server. It is your fault for being impatient if you are stuck in a legacy server sorry.

They are not going to let you transfer from legacy to non for some time you are just going to have to deal with it or quit playing. I'm sorry to say but those are your only options.

Fair enough, that's your opinion.
As for me when i buy a game, i intend to play it and have fun not wait and then wait some more and then guess what.. wait some more, for SE to unlock servers who knows when at the time. Good for you, you did some reading. Here's a cookie for you...

I didn't go past the first page, but the OP has 23 likes and most of the first page is talking about how they worked around.

If the first page is any indication, it's people telling people to learn to adapt, and pay attention to the rules when they're said up front, and if you rolled on Legacy, special rules apply.
