Hi I currently play as a Lalafell WHM. But I want to change race to a Roegadyn. Will this drastically effect my stats as a WHM if i was to change race like in FFXI?

Not at all!
As far as I am aware, there are differences in the base stats. However, it was stated by either the devs or Yoshi (can't remember who) that the difference is negligible at higher levels.
So, yeah, it will affect you, but not to the degree that it did in ffxi.
Everyone thought paid retainers and fantasia would be the end of it.
You were warned.
Cash shop in, TrystWildkey out.
Cool thanks all
+/- 2 to a stat, really not a big deal at all.

Going from Lala to Roe? You're not supposed to DRINK the Growth Formula! It's for crafting only!
Both Dunesfolk Lalafell and Hellsguard Roegadyn have a base 22 MND. You lose three points of PIE but gain four points of VIT, which are both distant seconds to MND in importance, and nothing else matters.
Just make sure you choose Hellsguard as opposed to Sea Wolf and you'll be fine.
The difference between races for any stats are, at the absolute maximum, 6 points. In endgame gear, you're going to have over 400 MND, so 6 points is basically nothing.
In your particular case, the difference in MND between Lalafells and Roegadyn is even smaller than that (between 0-2 points, based on Horg's link). I'm actually surprised to learn that Roes have the second-highest base MND in the game!

Honestly, you can still do fine as a Sea Wolf because, as others have stated, the difference is negligible. I'm a Sea Wolf Roegadyn myself, and white mage is my main job. Your gear and the skill with which you play your job are worlds more important.
Yeah, when I first posted I didn't realize that Sea Wolves only have one less MND than Hellsguard. It's the INT where the difference is more pronounced, but WHMs don't give a hoot about INT.
That having been said, I prefer the Hellsguard naming conventions to the Sea Wolves, but to each their own.![]()
