I feel like i may never get a titan kill without paying for it. Is it even possible to win on the DF?

Go to Mor Dhona and shout. Never use the Derpy Finder. For anything.

The Derpy Finder is a terrible system which is holding back this game in every possibly way. It is why we're missing content such as Crystal Tower. It is why the community is perceived as one of the worst. The sooner people stop using it and SE realizes how horrible it is, the better.

Devs made the fight way too intense on healers, so unless you go with two skilled healers (or one really skilled healer who can solo heal it), you're not winning in the DF.

While, yes, the fight is harder on healers than the other roles. If the people in those other roles are bad, it just makes the healer's life hell, as well as cause a wipe. Everyone needs to be on the ball, everyone. Especially in DF where you only have 4 DD.

Several friends and myself have queued up in the duty finder several times and killed titan for the unsuspecting random extra player or 2. It's not impossible, even if its improbable.

I beat Titan with a shout group from my server. We had 5 dd's 2 healers, and one tank. That being said, I did do the duty finder a lot to get the fight down before I wasted my server mates time, and one time with the duty finder people I kid you not, no one said anything, we ran out there, and fought the man down to 20% with 7 because the warrior died and was rooting us on. I was amazed. The sad thing is, one guy said, you guys are good, I'll leave cause i'm holding you guys back. But little did he know when he left, we weren't getting a replacement so we all had to leave.

But the duty finder people fight hard on Titan for some reason. I look at it like this. If you have the balls to duty finder Titan hard mode, then you must have some confidence in yourself, and 8 confident men can get the job done. I actually dutied all my Ifrit and Garuda hard mode fights, and so has my bro. We've been winning, so don't count the duty guys out. lol

Plus sometimes you get that FC that has 5 members available so they duty up. In that case, we are golden, and getting a win. LOL

Organize a party with your own requests or requisites...

1-All must know fight and have an excellent internet connection.
2-All must be geared.
3-All must have a lot of time in their hands, no -one wipe- quitters.

Get to know your party, ask them about their strats and experiences.

Understand that this organization may take several minutes, possibly a whole hour. Just know that it's worth it, by the end of it you have a better chance of success.


If you pug it with DF, your chances are in my opinion, 10%

That 10% is to land with 7 excellent players who have lots of experience and proper gear. Who barely get hit and don't die. And are not quitters.

It is better than having 1~2 dead weights in the Derpy Finder. That extra tank does nothing for you at Titan, same for the second healer depending on how competent the first is and whether they have a Relic already... Finding damage dealers in a shout really shouldn't take that long, as long as you can find two healers that are going to stay at it then it is well worth the time taken shouting.

It took me a day of trying Titan in Derpy Finder to absolutely give up on it. There were only so many times I could say "This party can win if we just keep at it", only to have one person leave and force the entire party to disband. At least when that happens with a shout group you can keep most of your party intact... With a shout group when someone is a colossal idiot, I can blist them. With a shout group you can slowly build a winning team, instead of having to constantly hope you're randomly matched up with other competent people. In the time you've spend wiping in Derpy Finder, you could have shouted and beaten him by now, trust me on that.
