Just got my "Armed to the Teeth" achievement today for getting 9/9 relic weapons. Now this does feel like an achievement I spent quite a long time doing it.

Just got mine as well, and there is a sense in which "i did this, cool." But mostly i feel like "annnnd i just did doznes of extraneous dungeon runs for the sake of paying for relics." I HAAAAAAAAATE hate hate hate hate the 900 stone requirement. But hey, never again I suppose.

Oh I love doing dungeons. I just hate doing them for the relic payment. I know it sounds weird, i just... its a weapon you know. its your ulitmate (ish) weapon, the very symbol of your roll. It involves killing gods and demons, scouring the land for signs of history and wisdom. You finally clear titan (which is a really big deal the first time you do it, lets all be honest. Sure its easy time 900, but time 1 is special)... you have done it. You have sundered the very heavens. Now go do castrum 9 times cus by the time you've done titan you arne't massively out geared for that or anything <.< Its just so anit-climatic, so... droll. I feel it really ruins the experience.

Who cares? Relics in this game are not like RME in FFXI. They are not intended to take forever or be difficult to obtain. SE expects your average player to obtain a relic for jobs they play.

one more time (and that was said a lot of time while the beta) FF14=/= FF11, FF11 is still running.

other point it's greatly possible that at the 2.2 the "relics" become obsolete with the new floor for BC.

I wouldn't doubt another Relic upgrade needing Good King Mog and the Extreme Modes of the Primals, as the game progresses and upgrades keep coming in, it could culminate into the true relic weapon at some point in 2.3 or even 3.0, with much more unique stats and stuff. I can only hope.
