Maurader End Game?

I have seen some threads around the internet theorizing the use of a Maurader (without warrior soul) as an end game DD. Has this been tried? I know that it lowers strength to take off the Warrior Soul, but it allows use of a wider range of cross class DD abilities. Just looking for actual experinces of anyone who has tried this.

I have a lv. 50 war, with a mrd set for dps, I also have my lv. 50 Mnk. Between the two a pure melee dps class (mnk/drg) will win every time. But it *is* an option for warriors to dps as mrd if you have the right gear.

The main issue, as many have pointed out (as well as I've experienced while testing it) is that what limits a MRD for a dps slot is the fact that they still build Aggro and they have to slow down the dps to allow the tank to gain an extra lead.
MRD is great for burst but the sustained dps is lower than expected.

In the end, it's a nice option if your FC will let you run in Raids as MRD as a dps, otherwise I suggest just leveling a DRG or Mnk for a dps role in raids and have the warrior set for a tanking role.
