How is the Market on your NA server doing?

To be fair, while I understand a persons need to undercut a certain item in order to have their item appear first on their list before other people. But when an item goes from 4k to about 1.5k because people are constantly undercutting, I think there might be a small problem.

People are undercutting because they are getting the mats to level up and want to get rid of them... I just don't see why they are selling items on the board at 1gil when they could sell it to an npc and get there 99 gil instantly... Last time I checked you cant get a retainer unless your in a town... Personally I have been selling toad leather at about 575 and making a decent profit, I was selling aldgoat leather until all the undercutters came in and crashed the market... Was making 525 off aldgoat leather then the under cutters came in and now its about 225... My strategy changed to a different product and unfortunately thats all you can do...

It is currently very hard to get anything to sell on Goblin at the moment. Due to when I do put something up, someone always undercuts me. There are several items listed at 1gil. How can one make any profit at that. @_@ This system drives me nuts lots of days.

I did notice a bump when they opened up the World Transfer. I've done well on the market so far. Getting Alchemy to 50 helped. But most items that were selling steady are getting severely undercut, for me anyway.

Well, if you are just making stuff to level, there is nothing wrong with putting items up for enough to get your money back so you can reinvest and continue leveling.

You do "profit" in that you basically get free exp.

If people aren't buying fast enough to remove the undercutters, that means the market is just saturated. When you see a long list of undercutters and you look at the recent transactions tab for the item and notice 3 were sold in the last 2 days you can expect to see a long list of undercutters competing for the few consumers.

Famfrit is having a nice boost in the economy with several raiding FCs xfering here and recently new raiding FCs are also starting here. Now that we have a population to mass consume, our markets are trucking along.
