I don't think risk vs reward is relevant seeing as everything in this game especially easy, coil only being tough because lack of proper entry gear due to the crystal tower being held off on release. Thats the major flaw in this game as a whole, no challenge in any field. It's not so much about casuals getting good gear. I don't think anyone sane is going to argue that they shouldn't.
There IS a major problem of the risk/reward with getting iLevel 90 gear as a reward from a dungeon that drops iLevel 60 gear though. This type of itemization breaks progression and I expect we are going to see the consequences of this in a major way when Crystal Tower is released and everyone from casuals to hardcores are running it in mostly iLevel 90 gear because it was so easy to get previously. Even more so if they ease the cap here and people are able to get it even faster.

It doesn't say per clear, it says they are increasing the amount you can obtain. I read that as the total amount. However, since it doesn't specify, it could mean the weakly cap, the total cap, the amount per win, possibly even all 3, or a combination of any two.there was no mention of increasing the cap, only a mention of increasing the amount u gain per clear of something. I.E Ak now gives 60 myths per clear instead of 40. IMO myth cap should never increase, i don't like the idea of casuals running around in welfare ilvl90. Tome gear should never exist in the first place.
Its funny I think of myself as pretty Casual (only playing a few hours each week) and i'm not even 50 yet. Elites (I hope its not offensive, I just mean the word opposite to casuals) should not have such a "sky is falling" mentality, us casuals won't be geared soon with or without the cap raise.there was no mention of increasing the cap, only a mention of increasing the amount u gain per clear of something. I'd love a quest that's actually difficult that increases your myth cap
something like, an extra +50cap per turn of coil that you've cleared?
lol at EASILY get allagan gear.
i've gotten 16 chests from coil spread over 3 weeks. Guess how much allagan gear my paladin has? 000000000000000000000.
16 chests-
1 tank piece (tanks split gear)
2 healer pieces
tons of dps stuff for dragoon and monk. gg.
If what you do only means something to you in relation to other people not having what you have, you are a sociopath, plain and simple. Especially in a video game.
Who says a casual can't get that even if it takes them longer and still feel like it was an accomplishment? And because they achieve it, why should that bother you so much? He said "I dont the idea of casuals running around in [my special little gears]". You get it faster because you're so pro or whatever, great job (also nobody cares), they get it eventually at their own pace. When they get it, you get mad, that's at a minimum weird and at a maximum something a sociopath would get angry about.
This is good for people that want to gear multiple jobs. I will want the option to run coil as melee, brd, or whm depending on what my FC may need. Upping the tomes will allow for ppl to gear multiple jobs thereby making them more useful to their FC. Right now working on gearing monk and I look at what it will take to fully gear my whm and brd and shudder.

The fact is that casuals are the bulk of the playerbase and "hardcore" players simply would not have a game to play if the game's design separated mmo players into winners and losers. The point of a MMO is progression, and intelligent game designers realize that the bulk of their playerbase needs a method of progression, even if it's not the glorious raid content they would prefer. So basically, suck it up. "Welfare epics" were a genius idea that is keeping the game alive with a decent playerbase. The selfish attitude is not only obnoxious, but self-defeating. Without the casuals and their tome items, you would have nothing at all.
In my opinion, myth cap should increase to 400, since it is divisible by 40. Unless they increase the amount of myth we get though AK

So many butthurt people in here. One guy says he doesn't think i90 should be easy to get and you all hop on the elitist hating train. Give me some more interesting posts and opinions to read, not "WOW YOU MUST FEEL SO COOL FRKING ELITIST" butthurtisms.
Anyway, if there's a cap or reward increase, I certainly hope there's a difficulty (read: NOT time commitment) increase.
