boohoo, dedicating some time to run Ak once/twice a day for 30-40 mins a run is such a challange. AF2 may as well be given to you after 1 Ak clear. Cuz thats all it is, an Ak clearing reward.
maybe they should just reset coil faster then? 1 week reset for 6 chests. my god this is painful.
It's still more of a challenge than teleporting around the map opening chests.
Let's assume you do 8 AK a week to hit the 300 cap. It takes 3135 tomes to get all AF+1 gear (not including belt and accessories, and completely ignoring relic+1). That's 11 weeks of capping out your mythology tomes doing 8 runs a week and let's say you spend 40 minutes every time you do the dungeon. How long is that? 3,520 minutes which is almost 59 hours. Doesn't seem so 'welfare' now, does it?
It is a time sink by design, which is a form of 'earning', it still requires more effort than AF gear did.
Eh that's the opposite of what should happen. Cap should increase but you should get no tomes from Easy content like AK.there was no mention of increasing the cap, only a mention of increasing the amount u gain per clear of something. I.E Ak now gives 60 myths per clear instead of 40. IMO myth cap should never increase, i don't like the idea of casuals running around in welfare ilvl90. Tome gear should never exist in the first place.
What's welfare about myth gear exactly? Because currently there are many pieces that are BiS compared to Allagan. On another note, what's wrong with casuals being geared to be able to run content? Doing coil makes someone more entitled to gear or something? More worthy? Nah. You couldn't possibly be that silly.there was no mention of increasing the cap, only a mention of increasing the amount u gain per clear of something. It's not so much about casuals getting good gear. I don't think anyone sane is going to argue that they shouldn't.What's welfare about myth gear exactly? There IS a major problem of the risk/reward with getting iLevel 90 gear as a reward from a dungeon that drops iLevel 60 gear though. This type of itemization breaks progression and I expect we are going to see the consequences of this in a major way when Crystal Tower is released and everyone from casuals to hardcores are running it in mostly iLevel 90 gear because it was so easy to get previously. Even more so if they ease the cap here and people are able to get it even faster.
I still don't think they're raising the cap. They said people will aquire more. This means dungeons might drop more but with the current cap getting a full set would take around 5 months. Crystal tower will be released way before then. It's not so much about casuals getting good gear. I don't think anyone sane is going to argue that they shouldn't.
