Is there a way to befriend an alt?

Note that you can indeed befriend and trade between characters on the same Square-Enix account. You just can't do this between characters on the same service account. I have two service accounts under my Square-Enix account, and use a set of "mules" to store additional items on service account 2. It costs more per month, but it is worth it for my needs.

Edit: I just wanted to clarify the terminology before someone makes a new account, when all they have to do is add (and activate) a second service account in the Mog Station.

Edit 2: Sorry, I forgot this only works if at least one service account is for PC
