Well, so I need pretty help. :D

And yaa-hoo! Found some motivation to come back to the game after months! :3

Ok, now. I'm not going to ask you to give me any free gil or items, neither I will ask you to be my partner, or tell me each one of your secrets; I'm asking for some help, that's all.

I've been playing Final Fantasy XIV since last days of open beta in September, and were one of the few who bought the game before it's official opening... But the time i've been out has affected me, so I'm basically a Rank 20 Conjurer that's equal to a recent Rank 5.

The problems are the following: I asked my linkshell mates that are Rank 50 what did they do to level THAT fast, but whatever they said didn't make any sense: How can you possibly make a leve party when almost nobody in this game talks neither asks anything?

Given the fact of the 36 hours limit for leve-ing, I come to the conclusion that there must be something more apart from... questing. I can't guess what's this 'something more'; is it grinding in a specific place? find a party? just chill? I don't know D:

I watch my 700k of guild, proud of it, and then i see stuff that sells over 10m. That's just discouraging, I admit is not that hard to get gil in this game, but how can you get such ammounts in such low time?

Ofc, I don't plan on using HACKS. I may suck doing things by myself, but i'd suck even more if i trusted in some kind of insecure program to do things for me.

Also, i've come to the fact that in this game, almost nobody talks... what's the point in playing an online game if you can't interact properly with others?

So basically, this is all what im asking for. I'd really thank you if you really answered all of this.

Im Kuinu Aladrow from Besaid. U're free to contact me whenever we both can. Thaaaaaaaaanks :3 <3

On Wutai at least it's not uncommon to see people shouting to form parties to go out and do leves together, especially shortly after reset or during evening in different region's respective time zones. Typically these parties are for R30 leves or R40 leves, but I've seen shouts for R20 leves too.

For an R20 CON, I'd recommend grabbing all the Horizon leves and walking out there. Join behest; it starts every 30min now. Invite some people to do your leves with you. Even if they don't have any or don't have the same ones, you'll get a bonus to SP just for having more people in the party. It shouldn't take very long to get to R23. When you do the R30 leves at Nanawa Mines and Nophica's Wells open up to you. It shouldn't be hard to find people to do those with you if you shout in town. Keep doing leves in parties and you'll steadily be getting ranks, gil, and faction credits. I have nearly 10m gil at the moment, and the majority of it is from doing leves, although nearly half is probably from selling crafted goods. Keep doing main story quests when they become available. The gil rewards for those go up and up. The last one gives 120k!

I hope this helps you get back into the game.

Welcome back and what server are you on Kuinu? I know that on Trabia people shout for pts all the time in Ul'dah. What I would do in your position is just do that...shout for parties, make one up. Don't the members of your LS rank up other classes as well? maybe see if you can get into one of their pts.

The best thing I would do is what someone suggested earlier, that would be get ppl in groups and link the leves. This is done by having one person start the leve and 3 others touching the crystal afterwards and choosing to link the leve. This greatly improves SP gain. During your outing you should join as many behests as possible, as someone said earlier the Battlewardens spawn every 30 mins.

As for grinding, there are some spots that I like to grind either solo or preferably with a small pt (because its extremely boring if you're the only one). Around 20ish I like to take a pt of 4 or more to Nanawa Mines, there we grind on Coblyns. As a cnj you might be able to solo these with your nukes and healing yourself, but its easier and quicker with more people. A place I would suggest for a party around 28 is Copperbell mines, they are east of Camp Horizon. Here you will fight more Coblyns. Once you get to about 35 head to Camp Broken Water and fight the Doblyns there. Once you are 40 head towards the ferry docks in thanalan. Over there is a place called the Footfalls, around there are higher Dobs. I would suggest a 5+ party for this. Try and stay away from the Diremites, they are very strong. lol its a lot of Cobs and Dobs to fight but I find that grinding on these are efficient. I have noticed that ppl that are 45+ go to Coerthas and have Raptor grinding pts.

As for gil goes, not sure what to tell you. Ive made millions on just cutting down logs and turning them into lumber. Once you get to a certain rank you will not need to spend gil as much, because you are not ranking up as quickly and the need for new gear or weapons is not there. I also just sell most of the items I get from mobs. Hope this helps.

I don't think this is right. You actually get less SP per mob when you have more people in your party. It's just that a) the mobs are much easier to kill, so you can run the leves on more stars; b) you can kill them more quickly; and c) if everyone is within +5/-10 levels, the SP you get is diminished in such a small amount that it's hardly noticeable. Here's a chart listing the SP you get per party size (link in text; chart from Kanican). Please note that this is from about patch 1.15, but I think it's still accurate for parties up to 8.

So if you have a party of 3 people, all of whom are within 5 levels of each other, then everyone will get 90% of the SP they'd get if they were soloing. But with a party of 3, you can run your leves on a higher number of stars, and you'll still have an easier time completing them. That means you'll end up getting more SP, instead of less.

If you're partying with players that are not within 5 levels of you, you'll see a pretty significant drop in SP. You'll lose about half of the SP you'd be getting if you were soloing.

As for the OP, Robert and Poppa are exactly right. The best way to level up is to get into a party. Most parties are groups of people in the same linkshell. So ask your linkshell mates if anyone wants to run leves with you. Of course, some linkshells are more active than others. So if you're having trouble finding people in your linkshell to run leves with, you can join up to 8 linkshells at the same time.

(Most talking in the game occurs via linkshell chat. I assure you people are talking to each other. They're probably just doing it by linkshell chat, or by /tell. Again, if your linkshell is pretty quiet -- and some are more quiet than others -- you can always join more than one linkshell.)

After leves, the next easiest way to level is behest. Like Robert and Poppa said, you can join behests every 30 minutes at any camp. They're like free leves that you can run every 30 minutes. I know people who, after they finish their leves, just sit at a camp and run behest every 30 minutes for the rest of the day.

You can also grind. Zam has a Wiki on good campsites that you can look up to find some good spots to grind. But, as usual, the best way to do it is in a party.

As for money, you've got 700K gil and you're only level 20. That's actually much better than I was at that point. And money is going to be easier to get as you continue to level up. The rewards you get from leves will actually increase as you level up. Rank 40 leves can sometimes give surprisingly high rewards. And faction leves can give shockingly good rewards. When you exchange leves, you can get over 50,000 gil from one leve.

So in terms of money, just be patient. You've got a surprising amount of money right now. If you continue to save, you'll have tons by the time you hit 50. And if you start leveling crafts and selling goods that people want to buy, you'll have more money than you know what to do with.

Welcome back to the game, and good luck!
