Question about server transfer restrictions

Its been the "15th" for damn near 6+ hours now... Why can I still not transfer wtf.

Inb4 "we are sorry, we're going to have to push the date back end of October early November."

Has anything been mentioned about the wait time involved between transfers? If someone pays for one transfer, how long until they can pay for another? Is it immediate, a few days, a few months, etc?

XI was something like 3 months, which was absolutely horrible.

I really hope SE reads this, 3 months for a transfer cool down is stupid when you have to PAY $25 per xfer.

They could alleviate so many Legacy problems by making one more NA/EU Legacy server. Legacy will be able to transfer from the overpopulated Legacy servers, people stranded on other servers will be able to join their friends on the Legacy servers, and the overall NA/EU Legacy server population will balance out... ZOMG genius?

You all are making a big deal out of the legacy stuff when it really isn't as bad as you make it. There is TWO NA legacy server listed as "overcrowded"... Hyperion and Excalibur. You still have 3 other servers to choose from if you want to get off of your overcrowded servers (and stay on the same data center... or 8 if count going to JP). I have RL friends on Sargatanis who have no issue at all playing the game.

While I would not be opposed to them creating a new "legacy" server, you do have other options out there other than to "sit" on your current legacy server. And if you want all of your non-legacy friends to join you, figure out the least populated legacy server and everyone move there.

Because 3 Legacy servers has a lot of space for the hundreds of thousands of players that may really wish to transfer there. Not to mention the ones coming from a non-Legacy server. You are likely blowing this way out of proportion, I highly doubt that many people want to transfer over. If it was really an issue then you would already have all the legacy servers listed as "overcrowded". Most of the people I have seen posting here complaining about the legacy issue are either already on one of the two overcrowded servers, or trying to get there. If you really must play on a legacy server (for one reason or another), give one of the others a chance. Im sure if ALL the legacy servers end up "overcrowded" then they will do something about it. Are they "empty"? no, but far from full. I am willing to bet they are somewhere in the middle like Midgardsormr, which actually makes them the most "ideal" in my opinion. You wont have such a heavy population that you can't play the game, but you also won't be running around in a "ghost town".

Friends from overpopulated legacy server X -> lower pop legacy sever Y
You on normal server W -> lower pop legacy server Y
You all get to play together, and are all on a lower population server. Would help immensely if we knew how full or empty the servers in the middle between "crowded" and "uncrowded" were. Create a level 1 and see how bad it is during your guild's peak play times. You should be able to get a decent judge that way.

So are you able to transfer if you are still on a free extended trial? I've already queued my payment up but it doesn't take effect until early November. If you have to be paying, how do you start paying immediately to take advantage of the free transfers? It keeps saying I have no characters available to transfer when I choose optional services and I've followed all the stipulations properly. Has anyone gotten this thing to actually work yet?

Apparently the makers of Rift are the only ones that can get it right. Free WEEKLY (if you want) transfers that are instanteous.

All my friends are on Hyperion and it gets restricted right as server transfers open up

I haven't been able to play with my friends for months and who knows how much longer it's going to be now, and on top of that I'm going to end up having to pay extra to do so

Continue to refresh and try. I had the same challenge among other errors and finally got through after 10 minutes.
