When will legacy players be able to switch to non legacy worlds? I have a few friends on a EU legacy sever and they wanna switch to the NA nonlegacy server with me and the rest of our friends. So when will this be made possible?

How LONG does it take to do a transfer? a day? two days? a week? Do we get a refund for the days lost?

Me and some friends planned to change servers on day 1 of transfers. Now im gonna wait 2 - 3 days and see what (if any) problems there might be. Really hope it dont take day/s, if so im gonna have withdrawal symptoms. Please se can you give abit more info on how long it could take to transfer
Looking for a few people who gather alot, to make an ls on moogle. pm me or send me a tell.
I want to know if you can transfer then transfer somewhere else shortly after the fact. Even if it's only 1 free but then can transfer after the paid moves start.
What i wanna know is why arent server transfers instant? Pretty stupid for it to take days or whatever outside of instant.
Under normal circumstances they probably would be, but they're going to likely have thousands of players all trying to transfer at once, and the system can only process so many at a time.
As for things like why legacy can't go to non legacy, it's because of the economy. Sure, they have gil restrictions and such in place already, but it doesn't stop people from being able to stock up on items to flood newer markets with.
Economy? Not really a valid reason.
I've played FFXI for 5 1/2 years and i still recall when SE released the game to its EU/NA customers and we were thrown in with the JP players that had been playing for close to 2 YEARS and had amassed gil and were geared to the teeth when all the EU/NA players joined. All the EU/NA players never said anything and we got on with it and it all worked out fine.
So this economy reasoning goes out the window.
What? That's not even remotely the same thing as this. What you're describing is the same as a new player choosing to play on a legacy server.Economy? Not really a valid reason.

It is NOT the same as suddenly dumping hundreds of millions of gil into a different server.
Ok, so 50% of the population have 10000 gil and then transfers brings in 50% of a new population with 1M+ to the same server.
Prices rise because the ones with gil can afford it and you end up being in a bad spot cos you hardly have any gil to buy items now that prices have risen.
OR
You land on a server with 10000 gil to your name and everyone else that was already on there years before, ie in the case of XI let's say, has 1M+.
Prices are high due to the players having gil that can afford items and you are again in a bad spot.
Looks like the same to me.
when na joined 11 they raised the lvl cap from 50 to 75 so BAM gear reset.Economy? Not really a valid reason.
