I know I'm not the only person who's been trying the new app out!

It's been somewhat handy thus far, however, when using it, I can't help but feel that it is often just an inferior version of xivdb. Let me show you what I mean.

Let's say I want to look for an two-handed conj upgrade. I navigate to the appropriate section and start to browse, and reach problem number one:

1) No way to filter; you can only sort by pre-determined methods.

While this is adequate if I'm just looking for the next tier of gear, if I want to look for something more specific, like say.... body pieces with +control, my only choice is to manually look at every item in a certain range.

So I find a potential upgrade (ex: Madman's Whispering Rod), and here is where I find the next issue:

2) The vast majority of items give no indication on where the item is procured.

Let's see:

Selling NPC
This item cannot be purchased from an NPC shop.

Dropped By
This item is not dropped by enemies

Quests
There are no quests related to this item.

Achievements
There are no achievements related to this item.

So...not only does it give me no indication as to where to get the item (it's crafted), but it also doesn't even indicate that it's used in the WHM relic qeapon questline. So that would be #3!

3) Data is often incomplete or missing.

I'm mainly posting this since the app definitely has potential, and I'd like to see it improved. What are your suggestions?

I forgot to mention one thing. While being able to see our character gear is handy, so far as I can tell we can only see our current character level and not much else. Therefore:

4) Please allow us to see our current class levels, gil, GC Seals, and Rested Bonus on the character page.

I suggest that they develop a feature where you can see the items and their prices in market board on your server and maybe if your items have been sold or not

I'm still rocking a 3GS, which is not supported. SE's too snobby for my dinosaur apparently.

I would like to be able to view how items are crafted and what mats are needed and where to find them. Seems like an obvious addition really and disappointed it isn't already implemented.

Also add guildleves and their rewards to the app, especially crafting leves so I can look up what they want in advance would be nice.

You're not alone, apparently the app needs a gyroscope for some reason..

You can, it's the button on the right. It basically works like a mini-lodestone profile. Not sure if you were expecting to log your actual character in?
