Players should be able to get incapacitated also.
Like we should get broken legs and stuff and then other players have to run up to us and "fix" us.

This was in Beta, you could get your legs incap and you'd run slow. But I dont think they'd bring it back, feels very annoying.
Thanks for the great posted info.
I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

Incaps need to be more important in the future of FFXIV.

For this stuff what i really want is a bestiary, where it show you the monster drops. Also what part can be incapacitated and what weapon skill depending on the class. ^_^

Tho I think the new dev team doesn't really like the incapacitation system, there wasn't anything related to it in the content they released :/ I really hope we're gonna see something with 1.19

Also it should be noted that the Buffalo's horns aren't broken by Head incap attacks, but rather by Other Left and Other Right on their respective sides. Some of them are strange like that.
They need to add more visible incap to the game, it was one of the coolest things Monster Hunter did (as far back as 2004 on the PS2).

I think it needs to say in the WS description itself what parts it incaps, as well as a visual indicator on the enemy and/or a debuff icon. It would make the whole thing easier to figure out when you've succeeded and what actually works without having to do outside research.
Just a note since I hadn't seen the info anywhere else.
Incapping the legs on a Cactuar-type creature doesn't show a permanent effect, and does not inhibit their "Thousand Needles" attack. It does provide a special hit animation when they the legs are incapped (the cactuar goes flying up in the air). Also, cactuars naturally do a little "dance" where the move 90º around the player after each attack. After incapping the legs, they stop this movement. Also, the drop rate of cactuar needles may be slightly improved, but it's difficult to tell.
