    I was charged twice on my subscription!

    Ok, so I checked my email, and it says that I was charged for the 180 day packet, which was not even available on the selection process. I chose 90 days, and it seems like they charged it twice. Normally, I wouldn't be too bothered, but I'm really trying to save money, and they just made a $50 3 month plan into a $70 something half year plan. I'm going to attempt to call the number, but has this happened to anyone else?

    When you set up your sub you receive an email with the details about it, like "Billing Cycle"
    See if you still have it, if it doesn't say 180 days then you can use it as proof that their system wasn't right.

    I know they were having a problem with people getting the 180 day subscribes so maybe they charged two 90 days subscriptions to compensate... I went 90 days because of all the problems people were having with the 180 days and their bank denying the payments and such...

    Call your bank, and have them get your money back. Just because SE cant handle the amount of customer support needed by their product doesn't mean you have to loose in a situation like this. Do not let SE get away with this crap.

    Call your bank. They will deal with SE. No point in wasting your own time trying to get a hole of a company that doesnt want to be gotten a hold of.

    You can do this, but SE will permanently cancel your account if you do. Charge backs result in perma-ban, 10 years of FFXI backs this up.

    It says 180 days in the email I received, so I'm certain that I was charged for the 90 days twice. Normally, I would not have an issue with this, since I've not had too many problems with the game and I enjoy it, but I need to conserve money for a convention I'm planning on attending DX

    OK! I think I got the problem resolved! I went to the Mog Station, and cancelled subscription since it hadn't been taken out yet, and then I selected the appropriate amount I wanted. The emails sent said it was cancelled, and then I got the one for 90 days. Thank you all for your advice. It will govern my future choices so as to not get my account completely lost

    3.8 Chargebacks. You are authorizing all fees charged under this User Agreement until you properly deactivate your account. Therefore, you may not falsely notify your credit card or debit card provider that you did not authorize the automatic recurring charge. If you are using a parent's credit card, you must have their authorization for recurring billing.


    Key word being falsely.

    In this case, since you did sign up for 180 days, they have every right to do as many transactions as they like, as long as they do not go over the total you authorized.

    2 transactions only hurts them as they have to pay your credit card company twice.
