MNK or WAR?

Hello,

I'm debating if I should pimp MNK or WAR? I already got full DL for my Lv.50 PLD with relic. Can't decide if I want a relic for my WAR or MNK next.

Thing is, I'm on vacation atm. When I return to work I'll have way less time to play. So WAR would be wise to do but I would only tank.

But MNK is fun so...

What would you guys do?

I have a biased opinion because I absolutely LOVE Monk. It is just a fun and fast paced job. I feel like if you were to level WAR it would kind of be along the same lines of PLD. Why not switch it up a bit and deal damage rather than having to be at the front all the time?

There are just as many reasons to level up a class where you have all the equipment as there are reasons to not level it. Chances are anything you're going to do with WAR, you can do with PLD. Coupled with the fact that you're forced to gear one optimally (AF2/Coil gear), you're going to have one tank job that's not as good as the other. I say going with a different flavor, a DPS, is a much smarter way of horizontally increasing your versatility.

I started leveling Lancer/Dragoon for Blood for Blood for my monk. I have to say, in the beginning I was pretty bored with it. I think mainly because monk is so fast. But I love it! I am really enjoying this job a lot. Only problem with leveling PUG/MNK. You get so used to the fast paced fighting that when you switch to another job, it seems so slow. Its like come on. On monk i can pull 3 moves to your one! But its great. at 32, only 2 more levels for Blood. But i can see myself taking this to 50.

Far from the same, the styles in which they tank are pretty different. I'll go with the majority though, go with Monk to experience another style

MONK! Raptor form -> internal release -> blood for blood-> dragon kick -> twin snakes -> snap punch -> perfect balance - snap - snap - snap - snap -> snap punch, watch the crits fly! God I love that combo!

PLD and WAR share the same gear, so do mnk.

Unless by Pimp you mean relic +1 which is different. Myself I need to work on mnk because mantra seems to be a handy skill to have for War.
