    There is a solution to allow legacy -> non legacy transfer without ruining non legacy world economy:

    1. Every single item owned by character becomes character bound and unsellable. EDIT: items crafted from bound materials also become bound.
    2. Limit of gil that can be transferred. The newer the world, the lower limit if trasfer (ranging from 100k to 300k i think)
    3. Limit the number of classes higher than lvl 15 to transfer. For example the limit to transfer to Odin would be 3 dow/dom, 2 doh and 1 dol. Less for fresher servers. Other classes will be reduced to lvl 15.
    4. Only currently equipped armoury items transfer. The average item level for transfered job must not exceed the average item level of 10th player (itemlevel-wise) in the destination world on the same job/class. Materia melded in items increases its item level for this calculation.

    I see this suggestion alot and all it really does is support my theory that it's not the economy people care about at all. Limiting character levels and transferable items... Guess noone follows the ideology of 'what's good for the goose is good for the gander'. Mayhaps they should apply these limits to every transfer? See how quickly that flies, eh? The problem people have with 1.0 characters seems pretty clear to me. "You have nice things that I don't, I don't want you to have them anymore."
