Low level Arcanists and Summoners with high level Summons.

I saw a level 10 ARC with Ifrit awhile back then today I saw a level 30 Summoner with Garuda. How is this possible? Are these guys just being jerks and running some hack? If so how do I report these wonderful people?

Are you seeing them in level-capped areas like dungeons or guildhests? When I do low level stuff as a SCH, my summon spells make faeries, not Carbuncles.

Did you happen to see these players in a dungeon or a FATE? If so, their level gets synced to the content. Say, a lv 50 summoner joins Sastasha, their level will be synced to the instance. Also, the summoner stone overwrites carbunckle to garuda and titan.

Both times were in none of those situations. I thought the one guy with Ifrit was in a FATE but the guy I saw today was hanging out by the crystal in Costa del Sol. He was by himself. No one else was around him.

I don't care if you believe me or not. It happened. I didn't think to take a screen shot but I'm sure I'll see it again. Has anyone else on Midgardsormr seen this?

Fates are level synced. The other, no idea.

You can be synced down on SMN, but the traits you unlock to change emerald and topaz carbies into Garuda and Titan are still in effect. While they do get new moves over the carbuncles at high enough levels, beyond that they're just skins to the best of my knowledge. For Ifrit, it's possible the actual Summon III skill has a much lower level requirement than what you need to flag the quest(which could well be simply because that's the level you need to be to do the storyline fight).
