    When it comes to most things, Wars are just as good if not better than pal.

    an over geared war (like cm or ak runs), since are defense scales off our damage, we require less healing than paladins. i know that with cm runs, i actually require very little attention from the healer as long as i'm popping my defensive cool downs and making sure to heal myself (i don't use Storm's Path).

    Also, i find that Marauders make awesome DDs when you are under geared for content, at least at the times where AoE attacks are common. Get hit, heal yourself and keep swinging, no attention from healers are taken away from the main tank. (awesome Titan strat for under geared guys)
