WAR in BC. Do we need it?

Hello everyone.

As many here I have felt the sour taste of WAR discrimination in end game content. I just got my Relic and I am preparing to go into BC but taking into acccount that I was heavily discriminated for Titan HM fight (and yes, I had to buy my Titan win because of this) I assume the situation is not getting better for me in BC. However, taking aside the story and the fun of playing in a new challenging dungeon, do we reeally need to complete BC? I mean, most of the gear is similar to AF+1 and If I can just continue doing AK and gear my char (and with a far better looking armor IMHO), what is the point in doing BC? are there other benefits I am not aware of?

I'd imagine it might be worth keeping a WAR around as offtank. His storm's eye is going to boost PLD and his own dmg by 11%, so that might be a little helpful (never hurts to kill faster or give the MT a higher threat cushion). And it's probably nice to keep a geared WAR around in your FC in case they ever introduce a boss where the healing debuff will prove useful.
