In a game that lets one character play every class, I have absolutely ZERO problems with them making certain classes blatantly better for certain fights. I'd prefer it, it would separate the dedicated from the less; opening up more room to move in designing fights. This would only apply to top-tier encounters though, who cares about tanking a dungeon boss skill, they're not even a remote challenge.

If this game was like a traditional MMO in the sense of being locked into your class then it's bad design.

The problem right now however, is that in end-game content PLD>WAR for MOST - if not all - BC fights (minus maybe T4 adds).

    My 2cents.

The only 'challenging' thing in this game is the fact were doing level 90 content in sub-80 gear mixed with a few 90 pieces.

I'm curious, are you going somewhere with this?

Because personally; I couldn't give a rats arse if some classes (in PvE) under perform in most forms of trivial content. And in what amounts to the 'challenging' or elder-game content as long as there isn't a huge bias towards one (like there is now) over the other, I don't mind a fight by fight disparity (prefer it).

While I may be restating the obvious here; in the example given by Paikis, the fact he can tank The Tonberry King better than a Paladin is nice, but who gives a shit, it's so easy a Dragoon could tank it. There, in my eyes amounts to nothing. Now if The Tonberry King was a BC boss, I'd sing a different tune.
