WAR in BC. Do we need it?

We use Paladin/Warrior duo and we are on Turn 5. There is nothing that Paladin/Warrior does better than Paladin/Paladin, but Paladin/Warrior has never been a reason we have died. With Samurais and Ninjas on the horizon and Warriors currently being the only Job with Slashing resistance debuff, we don't have a problem gearing our Warrior for future content.

This has hit the most important point you can ever see in this stage of the game. While PLD may be easier and slightly better, there is nothing wrong with bringing along a WAR. The state of PLD > WAR is not going to hold true for every fight from now till the end of the game, and in time those of you who refuse to let WARs join or run coil are just going to screw yourselves down the road when they make adjustments or we get a boss where you actually NEED a WAR to do a fight.

To the WAR who are being told they cant join in coil, you just need to quickly realize that the people you are playing with care nothing about anything but there current personal success in the game and nothing about their FC and the future of the raiding team. If you are told you can not raid because your a WAR your running with the wrong people.

Until they buff WAR, yes, it will. On any content where incoming damage is severe, PLD is better. Now, in 2.1, in 2.2, etc. The only way to change that is to fix the core issue. PLD scales off incoming damage, WAR scales off their own damage. That's broken, and PLD will always be superior on raid content as a result.

Moogle King in Wanderer's Palace. Grudge damage is based on stacks of a buff on the boss and does a set amount of non-reducable damage per stack. All your fancy cooldowns wont save you from Everybody's Grudge. I can survive a hit with 7 stacks, most paladins would fold at 5-6. Fights like this would favour the WAR. Granted its a dungeon boss, but still...

If they make a raid mob that uses a similar mechanic, then WAR would be hands down the better tank for it. They already have this fight in a dungeon, why would you think they're not going to do it for a raid as well?

That clearly says from now until the game ends (years from now hopefully), and if you do not ever expect SE to make class balance adjustments then you have nver played an MMO before. War can do everything up to turn 4 (even if its not as easy as PLD) and in time they will be ever or if any MMO in history has showed us anything it is that there will come a time where WAR > PLD on everything and the people who now say cant use WAR will be saying cant use PLD.
