    Add higher level mobs please

The current maximum monster level for roaming wildlife and beastmen is only lvl49.
For a lvl45+ character these mobs are already easy when fighting solo.
Fighting them with a group is even easier and makes EXP parties boring and unrewarding.

Please add real high level mobs or increase the level of existing mobs up to at least level 60.
This would make the world more interesting and even give high level players something to be warry about.

It would also enable players to form EXP parties up to lvl50 and really play together instead of FATE grinding in fake groups where it doesn't really matter what you do.
FATE rewards need to be lowered anyway.

You must have played FFXI, I agree, most MMOs have mobs that are much more threatening. If you want very tough mobs out in the world try The Secret World. Some maps have mobs that are similar to the ones you find in Nightmare level dungeons which are the hardest dungeons in the game.

I'm pretty sure that when they release the expansion, they'll be making more enemies roaming around that are higher levels, as well as fates/quests/ect.

And no, the max level monster you can find is level 50 by Urth's Fount, there's like a dozen or so water sprites there, which is also one of the most common places for people to spiritbond gear without having to dungeon delve.

I doubt they will ever bother putting high level mobs in existing zones (especially close to the cities), as it would disuade new players and make things mroe difficult for them. It's clear the new expansion will be adding new areas and thus new, higher leveled mobs to go with them.

Also, simply adding higher level mobs to existing area so that "players could form exp parties" wouldn't work anyway, as the game is specifically designed to not permit this form of gameplay - enemies even ten levels higher than you will only give the same amount of exp as an enemy at your same level. Yoshi stated this way back during development that he wanted to move players away from 'exp parties' and towards 'content-based exp', which is why we have FATES and levequests. Face it, old style FFXI exp parties are a thing of the past.

like Survival Horror being a dead genre!

... but really, its only dead because modern designers decided to put a bullet in it... I imagine if it was at least an enjoyable alternative people would do it. Developers far too often make things so we play how they want us to, not how we would like too. But thats a different story - As far as old style exp parties, I don't think they would be as enjoyable in XIV as they could be in XI. in XI, there was time to talk to eachother, and just get along... in XI you have anywhere between 1.9 to 2.5 seconds to type before you're wasting DPS... socializing is dead, so grinding a bunch of mobs with a completely dead silent group of "Might as well be NPCs" I don't see working.

The experience of a just.. monster killin' party could be enjoyable, but I just don't feel it would be in XIV, even if added and made reasonable. I mean technically you can just team up for FATEs and Leves but, its all the same more or less...

Regardless, They did say they were adding high level "dangerous" enemies to the open world in Heavensward, so maybe the training wheels will finally come off, who knows.

It's dead because the MMO audience has changed. People are WAY more casual with MMOs and there would be a lot of people who would not enjoy being forced to sit and wait to clear an area just because the monsters are too high to solo.
