Half the people in this thread are putting the blame on the OP for this. That's as close as condoning the other guys behaviour as you can get.
If you're expecting a long conversation in English during a time when you "don't have time".....
Now, you may think demanding people speak English has no issues, but you'd be wrong. The English people (who ya know, the language comes from) were totally and utterly evil to the Welsh speakers, they demanded they spoke English, in school (in Wales) and you spoke Welsh? The teacher would beat you with a very large stick. So every time you demand people speak English just remember that usually when that is demanded, a teacher beating a child also demanded that.
This thread is crazy, and based on the OP's attitude and tone, I bet a large part of the story was left out.
If I had to guess, the OP asked them to speak in english and they didn't so the OP started insulting them, THEN an intentional wipe was caused.
You'd be surprised how much different the true story can be compared to what the bad guy tells you on the forums.
A rather prominent display of ignorance, the primary language for most people is most certainly not English. Approximately 30% of the world population can speak English, but only 5~7% are native English speakers.
I don’t know about you, but the last time I checked, 30% is not a “majority”, and 5-7% is not “most”, unless it’s followed by a “don’t”
Not really, I find your attitude and presumptions insulting enough here.As ive said, it isnt a matter of whether their chosen language was ''hurting'' the dungeon, but how the request to speak english TO the group, was taken as insulting.
And that’s relevant how?And as for ''if they were speaking to you, they would speak in the recipients own langauge'' is complete rubbish. I could not even tell you how often ive been spoken to directly in a language i didnt understand. All the while unable to tell them in THEIR language i cannot understand them.
About as silly as your belief that you have the right to dictate to other people what language they should speak in.
As others have said, there is no NA-only server, only NA/EU, which in case you don’t know, encompasses far more than just English speaking nations. Not that the location of the data center matters, there are still many JP players on now NA/EU legacy servers, they certainly aren’t required to speak English no matter what you think.
Anyway, I have expressed my dismay at some people's attitude in the Duty Finder, so i must go to bed.
I hope that some of that dismay is directed at your own attitude.
One DB behavior does not excuse nor justify another.
Says the one defending a DB behavior![]()
Sorry I could honestly care less about the plight of the OP or w/e you or anyone has against him/her. All I'd like to do is clarify this... there are NA/EU specific servers not "only" but specific ones.As others have said, there is no NA-only server, only NA/EU, which in case you don’t know, encompasses far more than just English speaking nations. Not that the location of the data center matters, there are still many JP players on now NA/EU legacy servers, they certainly aren’t required to speak English no matter what you think.

Fun fact. English is not the most spoken language in the world. It's the second most spoken language in the world. Mandarin is actually the most spoken language.
