armory system useless? Mythology Cap

so if i gear up 1 character i should just relax? do nothing after i cap my myth for week? also the point is you can bypass this cap by leveling new character and making the armory system useless. stopping people from gearing in 2.1 is just bad excuse because you can bypass that by leveling new character.

by leveling new character you can benefit the following

myth cap x2
BCB (coil)x2
storage/inventory x2

and future proof your character if game will stick with these silly caps per character

And.... in 1 year you will have 3 full AF geared and in 2 years 6... in 3 years 9! THEN what?

A major reason to level other classes on the same character is so you can cross-class certain very useful skills, such as THM's surecast and swiftcast on WHM, or GLD's flash on MRD ..

Don't think they ever intended people to get AF2 for every single class for now, but they will be adjusting AF2 cost and probably increase tome gains when new dungeons and hard mode dungeons are released.

The op is not complaining about lack of things to do.
The op is complaining about how the mythology cap is dumb because
1. it discourages using the armory to its fullest extent. Alts are gimp due to the myth cap.
2. It can be completely bypassed anyway by having alt characters in the job that you want as your alt .

I didnt say that the OP complains abou lack of things to do.
I said that if we dont have the cap on Mythology, then we HAVE to spend all our time in doing AK runs, THUS leaving us with absolutely 0 time to do something else.

1: Alts are not gimp due to myth cap, alts can do JUST FINE with AK and Darklight gear.
2: I hate alts, there is 0 reason to having them, I dont wanna start the game multiple times from the begining.

I was really thinking hard about returning to FFXIV as a previous subscriber and collectors owner of the first FFXIV.

1.) After Reviewing the Barber-Shop system I am not intersted in joining Final Fantasy XIV again. What I want is a system that allows me to customize my character from within my house any time I want ((FOR FREE)) not 2000 GIL limits or anything just allow me to enjoy my game please and you (MAKE YOU'RE MONEY.)

2.) After reading what was posted over on MMORPG.com, I am not interested in returning to FFXIV for more than Reason #1, because you are Limiting my play. I pay to enjoy a game I spend random amount of time sometimes up to over 8 hours a day playing a game, so why should players be limit to how many tokens they can earn a week via a "Scripted System".

If only the developers would actually make some great changes before ESO, or Star Citizen come out we might return but otherwise are looking for other MMO to play.

This completely turns me away form Final Fantasy XIV, Please remove all restrictions and make this game worth playing.

In fact my entire Guild has quit this game because of these two reasons, and changes the devs are making towards this game we do not feel are in the right direction, if the game was F2P we wouldn't care but its not We are paying for a good gaming experience, not for limits.

Best thing I can think of is making the cap and tomes class locked. So if you max tomes as a paladin you can switch to monk to get tomes for your monk class. Of course with this they would have to implement a filter when buying gear as well is glad/pad can only buy glad/pal gear and cannot buy conj/whm gear that way it still puts a pace on how fast you can gear up each class and you can't have players in full AF2 gear in a couple of days by buying pal gear with tomes collected on a Monk.

I fully plan to use my Warrior to get faster queues into AK to get Tomes faster for my DD classes when i don't have friends online.
Your idea would ruin my ability to tank for random parties and still get useful things for my other classes.

Bad idea. I use my warrior to grind tomes for my monk for the faster queue times and shorter pickup from shouts. It takes forever to find groups as a dps sometimes since there's too damn many. If you class lock tomes then it'll take more than double the time to gear up dps. I've waited for 3 hours in queue in the df before, it's not fun
