Is it possible to change nick/race/gender/appearance?

Leveled to 50 and I want to stick with one character. However I want to change my nick, gender, race AND appearance.

Is there a way to do this? I dont have the time to reroll because of college so I think I'll just quit if not. I really like to keep playing though so crossing my fingers hoping someone knows :P

Yeah, it's really stupid, but here's a roundabout option for the name change:

Create a Drow Matriarch on another server, transfer your character to that server when transfers open on the fifteenth, assuming they go live as scheduled. The first five days are free due to all the issues. You will get locked out while waiting on the transfer to go through, which could be 2/3 days if there are a lot of requests, but you should be able to rename your character. If you want to go back to the same world you've been playing on, make sure you write down the names of your friends beforehand, because that list will be wiped.

...And also hope that a second transfer within that period is free and you can perform it before the end of those five days. XI's transfer cost was twenty-five dollars if I remember correctly. I haven't seen any announced price for XIV's.

I am fairly sure that you will not be able to freely transfer multiple times in a few days even in the free days.

FFXI also has a 90 days cooldown between transfers.

This struck me as a serious oversight when they announced the fantasia potion. If the potion allows you to change gender, don't you kind of NEED a name change as well? You don't want to end up as a female character with a male name or vice versa.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll just wait with uninstalling the game until/if they implement name change aswell.

Name can be changed with a server transfer, if the destination already has a character with the same name. I can see you creating an account to the destination with the current name and then transfer main char to that server, and it should work. And then transfer back, if desired.
