If your going to punish Players....STOP RMT & BOTS NOW!

Don't give me the it takes time routine when the current form of RMT/BOT punishment is to remove gil from players accounts.

If you are going to punish players, I DON'T WANT TO SEE THE SAME GODDAMN RMT IN THE SAME GOD DAMN PLACE FOR DAYS as well as bots in the SAME GOD DAMN PLACE FOR DAYS.

SE's innability to deal with RMT has resulted in punnishing players and that is about as dumb as it gets.

2x6moth subs and I wont touch this game again.

SE have my money and I'm sure they don't care but when people see the worlds emptying out or read stuff like this it may give them pause and I hope it does.

Truly sad, a fantastic game, a TREMENDOUS turn around for Yoshi and SE but they really need to address this yesterday.

Keep pretending that honest customers being punnished is just an ends justify the means while the exact same bots and RMT are standing in the exact same places for weeks.

You do realize if SE just carpet bans these people they'll get innocent people as well (as they also bot and partake in RMT) we'll just end up with people coming onto the forums trying to start a crusade against SE because they were "wrongly banned", right? No one is pretending, this is why things take time even if it seems "so obvious and easy", they can't get rid of all of them quickly, it takes time - It too blizzard a long time to get things under control and they eventually had their own sanctioned RMT for certain types of items.

Well since 5 ppl in my FC reported a hacked account teleporting around our server mining shards in Central thanalan the teleport hacker is still there. in fact he has leveled botany from 1-20 on shards and i know 5-10 of us reported the hacked account and it is still there. It doesn't take a GM but a few minutes to pop into the zone see the account doing whatever port it to jail and press right click/suspend account. At that time the Gm can pop the 4 Miners or Botanists in the zone that are underground as well.

Except they have a procedure/protocol to follow, the special task force deals with the RMT/Bots were as the regular GM's handle other game related matters, so all those regular GMs can do is put a message in to the special task force which is no different to players in game reporting the RMT/bots too.

^. If RMT was easy to get rid it would never be a problem in any MMORPG. The only time RMT tapers off is if the company runs their own cash shop and even then you still have RMT. If I see someone lagging and end up teleporting (which is also what happens when you see someone lag) I can report them and get them banned, but..oh..they weren't hacking? Just lagging? Whelp, looks like the "just have a GM come out and right click/suspend them" isn't as easy as one would think. This is why they do mass banning/suspensions at the end of the month.

The only way RMT will ever go away is

1. Remove the Market completely
2. Remove player trading
3. Make Gil Unique and Untradeable and only obtainable from npc'ing items, quests, leves, fates, dungeons, etc

Completely 100% remove any method for RMT to give you gil, that's the only way RMT will ever be 100% gone. But then they'll just level to 50 and sell titan runs for Real Money. E.g. you go on their site, pay them $10, and they log on your server with relic +1's and run you through Titan HM.

Where there is a demand, their is a supply.

As long as people, even 1% of the player base want RMT based services, they will not go away.
